hello, not sure who to go to for this question, but i only recently learned that objectum is a thing and i'm not totally clear on like what is classified as objectum and i was wondering if being turned on/attracted to machinery such as coupling rods on trains or pistons or other moving parts of machinery count. I look up objectum on here and it's mostly computers or buildings. I know that i am attracted to my examples bc of the movement they make. I am also attracted to mannequins (preferably faceless) but that seems closer to normal as they tend to be human shaped.

Hi train anon, I think this was sent a while back so apologies about the late reply. I wanted to answer this ask on the off chance that you or anyone who sees it finds it helpful though.

Being attracted to parts of machinery, and machinery as a whole, definitely does count as objectum! The same goes for mannequins, I myself am also quite attracted to mannequins especially of the faceless variety. Computers and buildings do seem to be rather popular on the objectum side of tumblr, but you do not need to be attracted to them to be objectum. As long as you feel a type of attraction to an object, and are comfortable with the label, then you can be objectum.

I’m going to be real with you I know jack shit about trains and have never been in a real one, but your best bet is probably to call authorities first, and then search for a hotline number for whichever like. Train company owns the train I guess.

Depending on if the train is moving and how fast it’s going, they’ll be able to get other trains out of the way and stuff so there’s no collisions, possibly lead you through stopping it, and send people to pick you up.
