10 EASY ways to become healthier
So if you're like me you sometimes really want to exercise but you don't feel you have the time. Or you're afraid that someone will notice in what bad condition you are. Or you just want a quick, fast exercise without going to the gym. And if you're not like me, and train/exercise regularly, visit the gym, run with your friends etc. then you can either skip this post or keep reading.
1) Waiting for your hair conditioner to be absorbed?
- Do 15 lunges per foot while you're waiting. Yup, in the shower.
- Do 10 squats before doing your business, have a wee and then 10 more squats (unless it's really urgent of course). This also works for sitting down. Nothing is better than sitting down after a short exercise.
- Do either 1 jumping jack after each item, or even better: 1 frog jump
4) Going to bed? Or getting out of bed?
- Do 10 frog jumps. They're much harder than you believe. When I was a little kid I never thought of them as tiring, but now I get really short-breathed. Just try for yourself.
5) Waiting inside for someone?
- Find a wall and squat down with your back against the wall until your knees form a 90 degree angle. Do intervals or check how long you can sit like that. Using arms to push is not allowed! (I'm saying inside because it doing it outside might feel awkward. But feel free to try!)
- Instead of sprinting like a maniac, do skipping jumps. It's almost faster, trains your thighs, bum, and "springiness". And it's fun.
- The classic: always take choose the stairs instead. Healthier, and you avoid the chance of getting stuck in the elevator, or squeezed into a person who stinks.
- Don't be mainstream and sit on a chair/couch. Lay down on the floor and do situps, the faster and higher, the more you can see of the program ;) Or do the plank. Or push-ups, but it might be hard to watch up and the television.
Okay, that was it so far.
