TWO TRANS CHARACTERS IN IRONHEART???? Not one but two!!!??!?! My flabbers: ghasted. Jeri Blood and Slug? Slug is a fantastic name for a nonbinary person, code name or not beautiful. Big fan of Slug but Jeri? Idek if they're supposed to be but their actor is so headcanon and whatnot but still!! Big win for trans marvel fans!! Queer characters played by queer actors?? My heart is full Big fan huge massive fan yay

Also just solid show I love women make more women leads in marvel please more gimme more kill off all the men just women

Okay so! Probably not a lot of folks who follow me here are based in LA, but writers are welcome to submit from anywhere so that’s really who I’m targeting! For the past 3 years, I have had the absolute joy and privilege of being involved with TGI2S fest, a 100% trans staged reading festival!

I think it’s only acceptable for trans characters to be played by cis actors of the same gender, NOT the same bio-sex.

Of course it’s better for trans people to be played by trans actors, but if that’s not an option I’d much rather see a trans woman played by a cis woman than by a cis man, and a trans man by a cis man than by a cis woman.

And of course, ONLY if those cis actors are fully supportive of trans rights.

I want a cis character played by a trans guy and he has CONSTANT shirtless scenes and the scars are never addressed and he is addressed as a Cis Guy…

I just found out an actors from a TV show I watched sometimes is trans.

This is Michael D. Cohen, a Jewish trans man, who plays Schwoz Schwartz on Henry Danger (and its spinoffs). I remember thinking he looked like Danny DeVito.

After publicly coming out, Michael started The Trans Youth Acting Challenge, for young trans and nonbinary actors, and he got a trans kid, Sasha A. Cohen (their names are an insane coincidence, but they're not related) to play in an episode on Kid Danger!

(Don't watch it though, the show isn't that good)

You might already know this but i didn't the gay pink haired marine boy was played by a trans actor. I love tht theres enough trans actors now tht its possible to lose track of one so it's a surprise to find out. Ppl apparently had this reaction to barbie but im Nef pilled even though ive nvr watched nething shes a tumblr girl

i didn't know until i was on his instagram actually! i do also love that i'm sure decades ago someone declared koby the gay little pink one and we're simply joining the tradition. and what a tradition it is
