Some trans Armin headcanons for you: He was originally named Annie but changed his name to Armin after he came out; he named himself after his grandpa because his grandfather had always been more accepting of him. Eren's dad was the one to suggest that Armin's parents let him cut his hair short and dress the way he wanted. Eren was the first people that Armin told outside of his family; he was really nervous about Eren's reaction but Eren was just like "Cool. Now, about that ocean you've been talking about?" Mikasa finds out shortly after she comes to live with Eren and vows to protect him from anyone who dares to tease him about it. Some of the other cadets find out during training (they are living in close quarters after all), but they're all pretty chill about it (including Jean, surprisingly).
