So I drew teddy and he looks so good

I need more of genderfluid Teddy. I love it

sometimes e feels like a girl, sometimes neutrois, sometimes a (sorta?) guy, sometimes e just doesn’t know.

teddy thanks eir lucky stars everyday that e was born a metamorphmagus like eir mom.

e spends a lot of time learning how to make eir hair grow or shorten at will. “you know there are spells for this. easy, third year spells.” “shut it, vic. not the point.”

eir hair is never a natural color.

eir style is eclectic: a bit modern wix, a bit vintage muggle, a lot of raiding both eir parents’ closets. e can’t thank gran’dromeda enough for saving things like tonks’ earrings and crop tops and remus’ suede shoes and sports jackets with elbow patches. 

you never know what e will choose to wear today. could be soft, edgy, feminine, masculine, androgynous, some of the above, or everything all at once. (eir gender isn’t as swiftly changing as eir style though.)

changing eir facial features comes naturally, but there are a few things e just can’t get quite right and it’s in those moments e misses eir mom the most. gran’dromeda helps with stories of eir mom’s morphing shenanigans and how tonks once described her process for honing her abilities. teddy gets better at it with gran’s secondhand knowledge and constructive criticism.

teddy’s never felt closer to eir dad than when e found out he was trans too.

Okay so i couldn’t resist heres some Trans Teddy headcanons:

This was lowkey based on my experience as a trans guy myself so yeah heres my take on trans Teddy

Warnings/notes: i talk about dysphoria, periods, and mention dicks once.

His birth name was something along the lines of Theodosia but he always prefered to be called Teddy or Theo and would get upset if they called him by anything other than that.

As a kid he always played with other boys and always loved superheroes and comics.

That is until 5th grade when stereotypes and labels start getting in stronger and the “boys hanging out with girls is lame” thing got in and he lost his group of friends because of this.

5th grade was very hard for Teddy, he had no friends and puberty started kicking in and he knew that something was off but wasn’t sure what, his mom also knew that there was something unsettling/bothering him but she couldn’t figure out what which worried her.

She only got more worried when she gets home to find that Teddy had tried to cut his long hair short on his own and it turned out bad because he had no idea what he was doing, this ended up with his mom cutting his hair into a pixie-ish haircut using and online tutorial because they didn't really have money to go to the hairdresser that month.

When she asked him why he had done it he just shrugged and said that he felt like it.

In reality Teddy always hated his long hair and it just felt wrong to him, he didn't say anything but seeing himself with short hair for the first time made him the happiest in a while.

When he hit back to school after the weekend he got made fun of by some classmates who told him that he looked like a boy, this may have seemed like an insult but it made Teddy happy.

One day he is doing homework in the living room by his moms side, she is watching television and helping him with it when necessary, that is when a documentary about the lgbt community came on, and there was a segment about trans people.

And that's when it clicked for him, he was a man, a trans man. He never knew that he could be anything other than what he had been assigned at birth that sex doesn't equal gender.

For the next two months he spent doing research and he was sure, it felt so right he way a boy.

Next he started trying to figure out how to tell his mom, he was too scared to do so, so he started making a few questions here and there hinting as to how he felt “mom what if i wanna be a guy??” and along those lines, until his mom herself asked “Theo darling is there something you want to tell me?” to which with his hands shaking and heart beating so fast he thought it was gonna jump out of his mouth “Mom im a boy”.

His mom took it greatly, she switched the pronouns up almost instantly only slipping up here and there, when he told her he wanted to be called Theodore she started doing so as quickly as she did with the pronouns.

There was only one problem for Teddy now: school, most kids where already mean enough coming out was gonna be hard, so he  (painfully) stayed in the closet until the end of the year

During break his mom whent to change his name in his ID as part of his birthday present, something that even Teddy himself wasn't expecting, but it made him happy that whenever he looked at his ID there was his name and a picture of him with short hair, making the so dreaded ‘F’ in his ID more bearable.

His other present had been a binder, that he ordered with his moms help, after a week of waiting it finally arrived and Teddy was ecstatic to try it on.

After that Teddy used it almost everyday with his mom always having to remind him about the 8 hour rule.

On 6th grade Teddy changed schools, his mom had talked to his homeroom teacher before classes started and he started school as Teddy.

For the next years until 9th grade no one im school knew he was trans, he was just Teddy the somewhat nerdy and lovable guy whos nice and kind to everyone.

When his shapeshifting  powers appeared he was so so happy, he started changing little things about himself, making his jaw more defined, making himself taller, giving himself more muscle.

He couldn't give himself a dick tough, he didn't knew anatomy nearly well enough to be able to do it and keep up the shapeshifting for long, he tried many times to do so and they all ended in failure and with Teddy feeling even more dysphoric than before.

Shape Shifting his chest was easier amd helped with his dysphoria a lot but sometimes he had to resort to wearing his binder.

When he joined the young avengers no one knew he was trans for a while, the first person he came out to was Billy when they started dating.

It was one month after their relationship had started and when Teddy told Billy “i have to talk to you about something” shaking and with tears in his eyes Billy was terrified  and they both sat down on Teddy's bed and after a few minutes of painful silence Teddy just says it bluntly “Im trans”

Billy was the most accepting boyfriend ever, he hugged Teddy with now tears in his eyes as well and thanked him for sharing such a big part of himself with him and how Teddy was the best boyfriend ever.

Teddy would always miss YA training once a month or so everyone had realized it, no one had any idea why but after Teddys’ coming out Billy had a hunch, he like every month texted Teddy with a ‘hey T is everything ok?’ and instead of the usual ‘i just have too much school work’ or the ‘i have a cold’ he just received ‘Its that time of the month’

Turned out that Teddy got awful pains during that time and was almost unable to leave the house during the 1st two days, something that he called ‘normal’ but somewhat terrified Billy to see his boyfriend in such pain. Billy don't forget to tell Teddy how Badass it was that he took that pain like a boss.

After that Billy went to Teddy'8s house every timeb he missed practice because of this and they spent the rest the day watching Tv and playing video games.

Teddy told the rest of the team with Billy's help he had told his boyfriend that he was scared to tell everyone else but that he wanted them to know, and so one day after practice Teddy says the oh so dreaded “guys i have to tell you something” upon saying this he can feel Billy's hand on his shoulder and a reassuring smiles that said ‘you can do this’.

Everyone was a bit surprised to see Teddy so nervous, but when he told them he was trans they all took it amazingly well and everything lead to a big group hug.
