transcrutchesuser tips?
I've used crutches before, so this'll be fun!
TransCrutchesUser Tips!:
You can buy crutches at Walmart and Amazon! They're around the same price as canes too (for me at least)
When using crutches, make sure to move both at the same time! (Probably obvious, but making sure for those who have no experience whatsoever.)
Think about it as pushing the floor/ground away from yourself, rather than lifting yourself! It helps a lot!
Make sure the armpit part (if you're using those style crutches) is just high enough to be snug against your armpit when you bend your arms slightly. Make sure you don't have to hike your shoulders up to use em! This applies to the cane user tips too, but I was too sleepy to remember
With forearm crutches, make sure your arms are bent slightly, not fully straight, and especially not hiked up.
If you need a reason to buy crutches, say your ankles or another part of your legs have been hurting recently. Crutches tend to help alleviate pain faster than walking normally, plus, you could argue that it'd be good to have crutches around in case someone needs them!
