Random TF Headcannons!

Some potentially triggering stuff under Starscream.

Everything under the cut so it doesn't take up space on the dash.

Might add more stuff later.

Wheeljack

- has chronic pain from blowing himself up so many times

- has joint pain in his servos from wearing down the joints with how much tinkering he does

- has a FWB situation with Ratchet (neither one wants anything too serious during the war)

- has trouble sleeping because of nightmares / PTSD

- doesn't enjoy refueling and only does it as often as absolutely necessary (lets his tanks almost fall to empty on a regular basis)

- prefers to fuel directly through his energon fuel lines (think IV for humans) instead of refueling the usual way

- Ratchet has snuck sedatives into his energon on more than one occasion when he's noticed WJ hasn't recharged in a while

- often ends up recharging at his workstation on accident because he goes days without recharging or refueling while working on projects

- emotes with both his finials and winglets

Skywarp

- has a high metabolism / needs extra fuel rations because of his warping ability

- often steals Star's energon rations when they pile up from Star forgetting to refuel

- his weird rivalry with Rumble has ended up with them fragging on more than one occasion

- pulls pranks on Star and TC because they both get caught up in their projects and forget to give him attention

- is probably the most loyal one of the 3 to the Decepticon cause

Thundercracker

- is hard of hearing due to his Sonic Boom ability

- sometimes uses comms to communicate in louder environments where he is having trouble hearing

- Star and Warp always keep their comms open to him for this reason (and it is also easier to communicate over comms when flying anyway)

- obviously loves writing in his spare time and often ends up daydreaming about his writing during war meetings (he passes off his daydreaming as having trouble hearing everything and Star usually gives him a written summary)

- doesn't really care for the Decepticon cause either way, but sticks around for Warp and Star

Starscream

- has spark pain from his immortal spark (also doesn't know he has an immortal spark until he dies at least once - may take him even longer to figure it out)

- despite all the dramatics and self-praise, he secretly has really low self-worth and self-esteem

- misses being a scientist but won't admit it outloud

- gets into politics because he's a control freak (he also does want to see Cybertron prosper and returned to its formal glory but that gets clouded by his own ego)

- has a lot of chronic pain from being beaten by Megatron so many times (doesn't tell anyone about it / would never admit it)

- tends to self-harm when things get out of his control / he gets anxious (tearing at his own protoform and plating and scratching at himself)

- is extremely paranoid (his irregular recharge and refueling schedule doesn't help with that)

- gets caught up in his scheming and planning and projects for hours / days and forgets to refuel and recharge (which exacerbates his paranoia and mania)

I've been wanting to talk about this for a while. And we'll probably never know the answer :(

But it's always intrigued me on why ironhide was a bully in TFA? Maybe we where gonna find out in season 4 or something but idk.

I just want to really know! But of course we won't. So... anyone got headcannons? (Repost or comment if you do I wanna hear it!)

I can't really think on why ironhide would be a bully. But I still love him <3

Soundwave and his four child

slight angst/Comfort one shot.

Transformers G1

A family in chaos <3

Soundwave walks into their berth room scanning around seeing his children in deep recharge. Soundwave vents and walks over to rumble and frenzy who were piled on top of each other recharging. They look like they were rough housing before they crash. Frenzy on top and rumble hanging a grip on his brother's neck cables. Soundwave Smiles under the mask at the sight before detangling them and laying them in their shared berth. And watching as the twin's curl into each other.

Soundwave smiles and looks up at Lazer beak's nest and gentle adjust Lazer beaks head, so his cables aren't twisted in the morning. He watches the bird like minicon for a few minutes before heading to see if revenge was in recharge under the bed again. A rumble comes from his chest as all his kids are accounted for. Soundwave moves his side desk so more air can reach ravage, and the catlike creature doesn't overheat on him in the night.

He pauses looking at the clock. He's been working no stop barely getting any recharge for himself for the past week. He happy during his break he can check on his kids. His spark tightens slightly as he pulls out his rations. Four Energen cubes. Him and his minicons rations has been cut again with star scream last attempt to take over causing the mission to fail. He frowned and looked at his kids. He wanted them the eat as much as they want. To snack and run around freely. He shakes his head giving each of his kids a cube for themselves knowing his system will last from the meal a few cycles ago, but he refused to make his children wait for food.

His system beeped and he looked around one more time before deciding that its time to head back to work.

Laugher fills the halls of the Decepticon base as Rumble and Frenzy rough house and role. Megatron rolls his eyes and ignores them partly letting the younglings have their time. They roll around the Main Hub until they hit a shelf, and everything tumbled down on them. In seconds Soundwave what lifting the shelf off the younglings seeing frenzy protecting rumbles head. Both Younglings look up at Soundwave and all soundwave can see is that night.

The night he walked the streets alone only to hear a damaged Bot whine. The sound of metal grinding painfully. He walks down the alley and found bout younglings. Frenzy growling at him half-starved as he stood in front of his brother. Rumble looking up at Soundwave as his body was pinned under and bin his optics flickering on and off. Soundwave walked up to them easily grabbing Frenzy and moving the weak youngling out of the way. Frenzy screamed panicked thinking his brother was going to get hurt but only to pause as soundwave frees and hold rumble gently as if his own sparkling. Frenzy hesitates as soundwave reaches for his hand. Freny eyes his brother as Rumble falls into recharge in the strangers' arms before grabbing onto soundwave digit and following him home where they were feed and taken care of.

Soundwave quickly scoops them up checking over them and letting down his guard because of exhaustion, the shelf slamming back down. Rumble and Frenzy look up at their sire worried. They can tell by his body language and actions that he wasn't okay. Rumble lets out a rumble threw his chest in hopes of soothing his sire only to spot at Skywarps voice. "Oh, wow Soundwave! Looks like you've lost your touch. What next rescuing the autobot when they need help against a big bad shelf." Skywarp laughs and the twins see their father tense and immediately jump to defend him. Rumble launching at Skywarps ped and Frenzy going for his head, the force of both knocking him over and they tumble into the wall. Megatron walks over to his old friend helping him up as he watches the fight go down, he scoffs. "Go rest. I can't have my best slacking off on the job." Megatrons growls out a back handed compliment and soundwave nods looking up greatfully at his old friend and leader.

"And take the kids with you," Megatron smirks before lowering his voice with a playful glint in his eye, "After all I refuse to babysit after the incident with that dumb bird." Soundwave fights back a laugh remembering when he first found lazer beak damaged. It was a little before finding Rumble and Frenzy. Lazer beak what a sparkling when he found him, Abandoned outside of the pits of Kaon. He brought it home after a match and babied the poor thing. When he got called to another gladiator fight soundwave had a fear Lazer beak may not eat if he didn't help so he asked Megatron for help watching him while he was gone. He'll never forget coming to grab lazer beak and being meet with Megatron hiding behind a desk covering his ears as the tiny bird like cybertronic shrieked and whine, the entire place a mess. The joy in Megatron's optics when he saw soundwave. The silences and the purr Lazer beak gave him on sight and the offended look Megatron gave the bird was the perfect picture.

Soundwave nods and smiles under his mask, "Rumble. Frenzy. Return to room." Both boys look back ready to argue only to see their sire's-tired stand and they nod running over but not before rumble kicked Skywarp in the face and Frenzy stuck his tongue out running back over to their sire.

Soundwave walks to his room the children following concerned. They watch as their sire sits down at his desk and lays his head down and closes his optics. Frowning the twins run and grabs a covering from the birth before climbing but the desk and covering their sire up. Ravage placing Energen Infront of their sire. Ravage growled and nudged his masters hand making his look up as ravage pushes the Energen closer. Soundwave pauses looking up at the minicon his own sire gave him for his 12,000th cycle. Soundwave gently takes the cube and drinks slowly.

When hes finished he only lays his head down falling into recharge before he can stop it. Lazerbeak coming to rest on his shoulder. ravage curling up on his ped and the twins nuzzling and forcing their way into his warms. A little slice of peace in the war.

For all the heat Cybertronians put out (imagine computers and tablets and how they put out heat), they’re surprisingly cold blooded.

On any given warm, sunny day you can find the whole handful of them at G.H.O.S.T just…sunning themselves on the tarmac if it was downtime.

Just a few I can think of, might add more when I think of them.

~Likes to sing

~Gets jealous

~When he gets jealous he gets very clingy and just wants attention

~Only way to soothe his jealousy is to give him all of your attention, he will accept touches, cuddles and compliments

~He doesn't mind getting wet, such as rain. But he really dislikes mud. Mud has a bigger chance of staining him or ruining his paint

~Likes getting car washes (Especially if given by a human SO)

~Really enjoys soft touches

~Loves getting helm kisses

~He has a 'I just had sex' song and dance

~With permission from his partner he likes to boast about having sex

~If he gets jealous he gets much rougher in bed

~He doesn't want to hurt his partner but he quite likes it when he leaves bruises on their skin/scratches their paint. It shows to everyone that they are his

~He can easily flip between being top or bottom depending on his and his partners mood

~Absolutely ADORES his partner saying his name during sex, he will go feral over it and it gets him closer to an overload

I decided to go with headcannons for this bad boy just bc. Enjoy!

Megatron

His spark would shatter. He remembers the pure agony it takes to undergo such change, and he never wanted his love to feel that way. 

He will attack whatever caused this. And yes that includes himself if it was his fault. 

Once he’s done fighting he will go to his s/o and try to calm them down, even if they are attacking him. He will withstand the blows and pull them into his arms and hold them against his chassis until the hatred bleeds from them and they sag against him, defeated. 

Optimus

He freezes, flashing back to when he looked into Megatronus’ optics and watched them change colors. He is scared. Scared that he will lose his s/o to the pain and the hatred that caused this. 

He drops to his knees with his arms extended, pleading to his lover to sit with him. 

If they must, he will readily accept any attack they deal out. Even if it killed him, he refused to raise a hand to them. 

Or, if they are trying to attack someone else, he would get in between them and their target and take the beating. 

Either way, Optimus is getting hurt.

When his love looks down and sees Optimus covered in energon and struggling to move, they snap out of it, and crawl to him, sobbing his name and begging for his forgiveness.

I WANNA TALK ABOUT ENGINES AND SOUNDS

Most of what I've seen them used for in Transformers fics is like- Smut stuff and being flustered and I got curious about other applications and how it would differ between fliers and grounders and yeah

Thank you to @knight-says-ni for bouncing around ideas about this with me you're a treasure

Originally I was like "Hey what if it was done as a fuck you fight me asshole" type thing and then more uses kept coming up

Grounders and fliers engines are, by design, a whole lot diffrent

Flier engines can be a whole lot louder then a cars so for them it would more be used as an extreme form of "Fuck you" "Leave me alone" or in like a way to "scream out" grief like if a loved one fell in battle

The more casual use is a quieter rumble in more of a challenging the other way or an engine whine as like human whining because alot of them, especially seekers, are built for silence and can't really be that loud

But engine noise for them is generally not used that much, they more rely on their wings and body language which makes sense cause it would he hard to hear in the air

For grounders there's a bit more range with their engine noises and meaning is shaped by the tone, pitch, context, volume, and how long it goes on for

Rumbling: Can be used for excitedness in an "I'm buzzing with excitement" way, being pleased with something/Happiness (Like a cat) or a warning

Sputtering (Spluttering?): A form of something like laughter, or like indignation and unable to form words

Engine stalling: Unable to form words from shock, fluster

Revving: Short and high pitched is more "Oh fuck you scared me", and other kinds include challenging to fight or a fuck you, loud revving outside of a fight me context being like boasting or "Look at me I did a cool thing did you see that??" Like how human teenagers shout "WOO" n shit or to scare someone like how humans yell

For fighting there's low/quieter revs like "Hey bud watch it" and louder ones that are more "Fight me in this Walmart parking lot right now"

And also,

A bot trying to fight another bot will do the engine Rev as one does, and the other will answer most of the time, and if the answering revving is louder it probably indicates that "Hey that bot might be stronger back down now"

Of course alot of dumbasses won't and will try to be even louder

There's probably even more differences between diffrent types of fliers and diffrent types of grounders as well as what region or colony they live in and if y'all have any more to add, feel free
