Oh yeah so someone on Twitter reminded me of the existence of Roller

We need to bring him back

As far as I’m aware, his only big appearance is in g1, at first in the pilot episodes (which is where I remember seeing him), and then like, a couple episodes after that, and I think he might show up in IDW, but not much else

He’s just like, Optimus’ little drone guy he deploys occasionally

Do what that Twitter user did and just make him like Optimus’ little son thing, like the Cassettes for Soundwave. From what I understand, Roller is technically supposed to be a component of Optimus like his trailer, so it works. Also Roller has varying levels of sapience, but he does at least have a name, so just make him a bot as well (since he does have some robot forms I think)

Also he has a gun sometimes. I will elaborate more in the next post

Shockwave’s shocked when he hears about the terrors his and OP’s bitties put the other bots through. He hopes and hopes that their latest bitty will be more behaved than their older brothers…

Little Roller is born and luckily doesn’t set anything on fire, doesn’t magnetize to anyone he shouldn’t, and is generally well behaved. That is, until he learns how to transform.

Roller is a sneaky little guy and makes a game of hiding from everyone, catching them by surprise. He gives his creators many spark attacks when he plays this game of hide and seek, to the point that Shockwave just puts a tracker on him.

Optimus is exasperated. Ratchet, holding a bitty of his own, laughs and says it’s to be expected that Optimus “I’m going to jump off from great heights” Prime and (former) Senator “flirting with agitators” Shockwave would have trouble making bitties.

All of their children cause havoc because they cause havoc 🤣
