General Roleplay Rules and Expectatons for my Characters:

Here is a General outline of how I expect to Roleplay with

Characters:

In General: My characters are just guys. Tarn: He is very much based on IDW Tarn but in a larger organization. Lawful, organized, but strict and puritanical with a brutality hidden under his guise of culture and manners. Redwing: Redwing is a displaced and hiding Armada Starscream. Displaced when his particular Universe was destroyed by yet another Starscream (Underbase-Powered Starscream).

Ginrai: My Version of Ginrai is specifically Optimus Prime's son. In detail, he is the son of Optimus and Elieta in my personal fanfiction project I've been working on (Transformers Trinity). However here, functionally, all that matters is that he is the only known offspring of Optimus Prime.

Rules and Expectations:

Interactions: In general, I take most interactions at face value, headcannon and deep cannon information generally don't apply to 90% of most re-blog roleplay interactions.

Expectations: If something significant is gonna happen, a cannon event or something involving more than one participant, I would like to in some way arrange it so everyone's on the same page. (Either DMs or OOC posts). Content Rating Rule: If something is going to be in a public Re-blog Roleplay post, I would like to do our best to keep everything equivalent of PG rated (PG-13 in a pinch) simply because this is a publicly posting website, and people of all ages are here especially in the informal roleplay groups. Violent/Extreme content rule: If it is vitally important to character and the overall setting (Mostly for very violent fights, battles, struggles) will be appropriately flagged, marked, and hidden behind warnings. XXX content: If this does ever become an issue or inevitable in a re-blog chain. It will be either a fade to black or a cut away. What happens in private does not need to be detailed in public. (I am aware that these rules and expectations have been skirted and somewhat bent before, but this is why I'm making them now).

Cannon and Lore:

Declaration: For better or worse, I have been developing my own Transformers setting from scratch enough that it has become my personal default and reference for Transformers lore, for better or worse. Overall this does align mostly with the established lore of G1, IDW, and Prime/Aligned that overall it doesn't cause issues (especially since those are also my largest Transformers Influences), though it does differ in some key ways in certian character details, relations, backstory notes, and some particulars of Transformers/cybertronians as beings/life forms. If I make a reference or allusions that seems odd or out of place, it's probably because I'm referencing something in my own setting, and it can be taken as inconsequential and non-cannon overall. I do not ask or expect others to take my particular perspective as anything more than just my own, only that there be a little patience for my personal peculiarities.

I've already said a-lot of this in my introductory post, but it's worth re-iterating here.

This version of the Lost Light is meant to be part of a war story that pulls no punches and shows the overall grittyness and somewhat 'grimdarkness' of war in general.

Further, While the surviving crew are the protagonists, and the main focus characters of Anode, Lug, and Riptide are meant to be good bots, not all the survivors are. (In fact, probably the majority aren't the best Cybertron has to offer.) Therefore, I have applied Mature content lables to the published chapters as well as the appropriate content tags. I will be applying a similar warning image to the pinned welcome post as well, and maintaining the appropriate content warnings going forward.

Introduction and Expectations

After 4 million years of brutal armed conflict, Optimus Primes leads a volunteer crew on a repurposed transport to a distant and dim star far beyond Cybertron's controlled space, and unrecognized by most modern star charts as little more than a Datapoint. Obsessed with the actions of the deposed Cybertron, now Autobot, leader, Lord Megatron of the Decepticon Constellate hastily calls up his best Officers and fastest ship to give chase. What they both find in a small star in the overlooked Orion arm of the Galaxy is more than meets they eye of either leader. One wishes to embrace and protect it, the other, pushed and charged by forces unknown beyond the Decepticons, must see it destroyed. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Greetings Dear Reader, Welcome to Transformers Trinity. My Original Transformers Continuity. I hope you enjoy it. Just to clear up some housekeeping notes, My series is rated somewhere between T and M on the ESRB video game rating scale mostly due to dramatic and mature themes, some strong language (both Human and Cybertronian), and that I don't wanna really pull any punches when writing. Also, to set expectations, this is meant to be a new and original Transformers Continuity set apart from previous continuities, but does bear influence and inspiration from Transformers IDW 1.0 (and 2.0 to a lesser extent), Transformers Prime, Transformers Aligned Continuity in general, Generation 1 (comics and cartoon), and other bits and pieces from other Transformers continuities.

External Literary/Media influences include: Lord of the Rings, Tom Clancy novels, Star Wars Expanded Universe, Dune, Babylon 5, Star Trek (Original Series and Rick-Berman era), Andy Weir Sci-fi novels (The Martian and Project Hail Mary in particular), Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and others.

Just a note and heads up to my readers: While this is Fanfiction by definition, I don't intend to indulge any desires on my part other than to write a good and solid story. Therefore, I don't expect to fall into many fanfiction tropes besides some shipping, and even those are considered and meant to serve at least some aspect of the overall story, however I cannot preclude any eventual happenings between characters.

Further, in my setting, I have defined my Cybertronian 'biology' such that it is not in line with the standard conventions of Transformers X-rated Fanfiction, but neither is it the engineered 'all ages appropriate' biology usually suggested or described in official sources (namely Aligned and IDW). My Cybertronians, Autobots, Decepticons, and unaligned bots, are most certianly People like you or I with similar worries, concerns, and instincts, but they are also, to our eyes, a race of Alien Robots, and thus have worries, concerns, and instincts unto themselves.

One final note on the Preamble, I have received more than a few unsolicited offers for commissioned artwork adaptations of my fictions. However, as of right now, I have no budget to speak of for commissioning works based on my series. That said, I do whole heartedly welcome fan-art and any other inspired works of art based on my writing, and would love to feature it here perhaps with the excerpt and context the piece was based on. However, until I can put together a proper budget and production process for a graphic novel or other official adaptation, artistic adaptations and other such derivatives will have to remain fan and enjoyment driven.

Transformers Trinity Lost Light Chronicles Introduction:

Hello This is a spinoff of story of Transformers Trinity (my Transformers fanfiction series found here: @transformerstrinityauthorblog) taking place aboard the Nova Class cruiser the Lost Light, a rather unfortunate ship. This spinoff starts right after the beginning of the Autbot/Decepticon War and eventually will catch up with Transformers Trinity.

CONTENT WARNING: This will be a somewhat gritty and rough going story, Also, even though they're 'robots' (NBEs), they are still people overall and will have their own versions of everything humans do, Therefore this fiction will bear the appropriate rating tag and be rated the fan-fiction equivalent of 'R' or 'M'.

You have been warned and notified. Also, for the fans of the IDW Transformers 1.0 continuity, namely the More Than Meets The Eye and Lost Light books, this take on the ship of misfits will be heavily inspired by, but will not be directly connected to the original MTMTE and Lost Light books in any way, therefore, I'm sorry to say that prominent characters like Rodimus/Hotrod, Ultra Magnus, Ratchet, Drift, Megatron, and others will not feature (at least for a long time) since they're all currently back on Cybertron (or Earth) fighting The War. That said, I will be drawing from IDW Lost Light Character lists as well as using some original, some from G1 and other continuities, and some other sources (with permission of course). Chapter Discussion and Clarifications.

Using this image here because it's probably the closest I can get to showing my ideal NEST situation, and more or less what's gonna happen in future episodes. Discussions and Clarification.

Now that I've posted 3 full episodes of Transformers Trinity, along with the next several in some stage of being outlined, I've already received some feedback about certain plot points and character that might need clarification.

I'm sure anyone whose undertaken long creative writing projects can understand, but in doing so, one can understand how familiar and almost for granted your own characters, stories, establishments, and set pieces can becomes. To you, they're just there and essentially part of the furniture, while to a new reader they're something that they don't just immediately pick up on. To those of my readers who are also familiar with Tom Clancy's novels (Hunt for Red October, Clear and Present Danger, Rainbow Six, etc) will hopefully pick up on his influence on my own writing, I am an avid fan of the Jack Ryan series. However, something he does, that I also must admit I took for granted, was dedicate sometimes whole pages to the introduction and backstory of anything he want's to include. The Question and Discussion here is weather or not I should either edit/rewrite my current chapters/episodes to include some more lengthy introductions and establishments of characters and organizations (Sector Seven mainly), or simply do so as opportunity presents in further chapters. As far as I'm concerned, I feel like I've done at least enough to get on with in dialogue and interludes, but my concerns and perspectives are naturally somewhat biased. So, as a question from the Author to his Readers: What do you think? How can my work be improved with your help? -ΔkW

This is a new Transformers series not meant to tie into any previous series or fiction directly. Optimus Prime, the last Prime and leader of the Autobots, is attempting the unthinkable. He's trying to leave Cybertron, not to abandon it, but to try and save it. Launching from a secret base in the seemingly deserted ruins of Iacon, he leads a small crew to an unknown planet only notable for its constant presence in ancient legends and scriptures. Megatron, Lord of the Decepticons, of course, cannot stand for this. He gives chase in their fastest ship and forces his foes to crash-land on their destination. Now he wants to make sure they no longer pose a threat to his rule, and the Autobots now must complete thier mission while hiding from him and the natives of their crash site. Will they make it, and save Cybertron, or was it all for naught?
