would u guys like it if I posted more often?? idk lol 💀
I bury my teeth into the thought where Megatronus Prime calls Optimus 'little brother,' not out of mockery for the newest Champion ordained by Prima but because Optimus is supposed to be a reincarnated Thirteen -the youngest Prime.
Thirteen is not Prima. They don't have the same powers nor Aspects as the Eldest.
It's all mirrors and reflections and foils. A Champion of Prima to the true Megatronus Prime. A Prime that went through the Well to stay with Cybertron and the Prime that decidedly went away. The weakest to the most powerful. A Prime that never truly ascended to their true potential and forgot himself to the one that intimately knew exactly what he was the moment he stepped into existence. The Prime that time forgot and The Fallen.
So if you've watched TFA you know the Prime is a military title, but what if it wasn't just a military title but the title was stolen and used as a military title to get rid of the history of the 13 Primes of Old (the 13 original)
So Primus wakes up or something and sees how shitty Cybertron's become and decides to reincarnat his first creations (with there consent of course) and he knew Alpha Trion would be extadic to have his siblings back. And of course Optimus is the reincarnation of 13, but has to hide it till the time is right. Cause due to the fact of Cybertron barring the 13 if ge revealed himself to the council he'd most likely be killed or something.
Orpheus and Eurydice this, Hades and Persephone that...
I'm alive, and I'm back to my usual nonsense and this post was inspired by the myths of Hyacinthus and Adonis (though only the core concept survived the adaptation)
So:
Optimus|The Thirteenth Prime as the love-struck deity
Ratchet as his mortal beloved
Place and time: Cybertron, a very, very long time ago
The Thirteenth was restless. Though he had surrendered his spark to the Well of AllSparks after the deaths of his siblings, descending with their bodies to his father, he would still slip away from the realm beyond now and then.
He was his father's most beloved child, adored by his siblings, and so his mischief was always forgiven. No one knew his name, nor the face beneath the eternal radiance that surrounded him. The Thirteenth never lingered in one place — instead, he wandered among mortal beings, assuming their form.
Medicine had only just begun to evolve as a craft and a science, and this young medic stood out among his comrades. They said he could pull a spark straight from the AllSparks. He travelled across the planet in search of knowledge, but always returned to his native settlement.
And so it happened that, on one of his journeys, they met. No one knows the circumstances, or why. But from that day on, they were nearly constant companions.
Their bond grew stronger and so did the medic's skill. For, as has been said, the Thirteenth was fond of him. He pleaded with his elder siblings to teach his beloved, and he revealed secrets no mortal should ever know.
Despite his love for the divine, the medic became prideful. Whenever someone claimed his talents were a gift from Solus, he would scoff indignantly and insist they were the fruit of his own hard labor. He showed no reverence to any of the Primes, nor to Primus himself in fact, he went so far as to deny their very existence.
Yet the Thirteenth never grew angry at his proud beloved. But others — other mortals — did. Their sparks grew thick with envy and rage. How could this pitiful medic have drawn the favor of a Prime, been granted what most could only dream of and still deny it?
The fury grew. And when the Thirteenth set off on another journey, leaving his lover behind, the other medics carried out what they believed to be justice. They brutally murdered the young medic. Some claim they tore him apart while he still lived, hoping to extract from his still-warm helm the secrets gifted by the gods.
When the Thirteenth returned to his beloved, overcome with longing, he did not find him. He searched and asked every passerby, “Have you seen my beloved?” But the Prime did not know he was questioning the very ones who had murdered the one he loved. And they only replied, “He went on a journey, couldn’t wait for you, and said nothing of when he’d return.”
Upon hearing this, the Prime set out to search. He wandered across the planet, asking every passerby, “Have you seen my beloved?” But none could help him. Despair consumed his spark, and in one final flicker of hope, he returned to their home, praying his beloved would be there. He returned in secret — no one knew. And because of this, he learned the bitter truth.
In grief and fury, the Prime obliterated the entire settlement—spared no one, least of all the killers of his beloved. And when the rage passed, all that remained was a crater. Those who survived brought him the medic's remains. And at last, he declared:
“I return to my father. This world, this people, are dear to me no longer. May sorrow, death, and misfortune befall you — for I shall not return. Not until my beloved rises again from the AllSparks.”
And he vanished in a vortex of radiance, bearing the remnants of his beloved. In the wake of his departure bloomed miraculous flowers, which the survivors carried across Cybertron and named ivyatsa.
Having thoughts about optimus prime reincarnation post war, but it's like. The third time now, considering the Thirteenth Prime -> Orion Pax -> Optimus Prime pipeline
Transformers: Thirteen
I am so happy that Transformers has been progressively focusing more on the Thirteen in TFONE and AOTP (even if the Nexus figure was a bit of a flop, I'm 100% gonna buy and repaint Silverbolt), so I wanted to list my thoughts on the Thirteen. Anyone is free to use these choices of personalities, relics, or names, just tag me please.
Prima, Prime of Purity
He/him. Silver with dark grey. This guy acts all high and mighty and noble but honestly is kind of a douche. In his mind, everything is black or white, no exceptions. While that makes him an effective warrior, it makes him a very divisive leader. Inspires awe and irritation in equal measure, genuinely committed to order and duty but also assumes his judgement is naturally superior. There are few that he will listen to.
Star Saber: a sword made from pure solidified light
Polarity Gauntlet: a powerful control over the forces of magnetism, even removing all magnetic energy from sources to imbue it into others
Origin Matrix: an enhancement to the Spark of the first Transformer, a powerful source of energy that enhances its user to their purest self, whether that is pure good or pure evil or pure chaos or any other sort of purity
Vector Prime, Prime of Time
He/him. Maroon with white. A very curious sort, and always willing to help others, though sometimes held back by the laws of time and space. The tragic part is that he remembers timelines where tragedy has struck, or even timelines that no longer exist, leading him to be isolated. Thoughtful and patient, he has the energy of someone who is always noticing patterns no one else sees.
Rhisling: forged from ethereal supermatter, able to slice through the fabric of reality
Sigma Key: the key to higher dimensions, as well as lower ones
Blades of Time: a mandala of shifting crystallized temporal energy, a means of controlling a person’s relation to time
Alpha Trion, Prime of Knowledge
He/him. Magenta and purple. A wizened old sage, a font of historical information. Records everything from infamous battles to peace negotiations to dawns of new species. A scholar who has seen too much to be impressed by most things, but still cares deeply about preserving meaning. He is patient, exacting, and very hard to fool, though not necessarily warm in a conventional sense. His authority comes from memory, context, and the weight of having recorded so much history that he can spot repeated mistakes instantly.
Quill: originally in the form of a blaster, a perfect writing tool that leaves permanent marks that can never be undone unless by use of it again
Covenant: originally in the form of a sword, writing in this book makes temporary changes to reality unless with something that leaves permanent marks
Viewtrex Staff: a staff of power that can view and access anywhere the user desires
Solus Prime, Prime of Creation
She/her. Purple and gold. The creator, the builder, the smith, the artist. Solus enjoys and encourages all forms of creativity. She is energetic, inventive, and creatively fearless, the kind of person who sees possibility in raw material before anyone else does. Generous with her skills, but also very intense about craftsmanship and quality, since creation is both joy and responsibility to her. Can be playful and encouraging in one moment, then laser-focused and uncompromising the next if something she made is being mishandled. She hates waste, not just of material but of potential.
Pandora Forge: a hammer capable of forging any material in existence into whatever the user wants
Creation Lathe: allows a smith to design the architecture and components that vast supernatural efforts might require
Forgefire Amulet: whatever can be made can be unmade, magically disassembled with ease
Micronus, Prime of Conscience
They/them. Teal and navy. A sarcastic wisecracker, kind of assy but deep down cares for those he has chosen to assist. Sharp, funny, and very aware of everyone else’s nonsense. Their sarcasm hides a real protective instinct, because they notice vulnerability fast and probably hate seeing it exploited. They're the kind of person who pretends not to care while quietly making sure the right people survive, heal, or get one more chance. They are stubborn about fairness in a very personal way, not idealized or abstract. If they choose to help someone, it’s because they’ve judged that person worth the effort, and that makes their loyalty feel even more meaningful.
Chimera Stone: a conduit for those capable of generating near-limitless energy to empower others
Apex Armor: an armor allowing the meek to access their true might
Alchemist Prime, Prime of Alchemy
He/him. Dark green and beige. The most chill of the Thirteen, admittedly a bit of a hedonist, but when things get serious he is the first to pick up a weapon and fight. Has the calm confidence of someone who has looked deeply into how things work and found most of existence fascinating rather than frightening. He feels relaxed, indulgent, and maybe a little self-amused, but that chillness should not read as laziness. When the moment turns serious, he becomes frighteningly competent, because he understands both the beauty and danger of transformation. He's a little philosophical, maybe even teasingly immoral at times, as if he enjoys pushing the edges of what should be possible. He is most likely to encourage experimentation, and the one most aware of the cost.
Lenseers: a dimensionally-sharp viewing glass capable of seeing anything and everything, that was, is, might be, or couldn’t be, and allowing whoever uses them to view and manipulate the chemical and the alchemical
Tox-En Vessel: a mistake that must be harnessed lest it poison all that it touches
Nexus Prime, Prime of Unity
They/them. Blue and red. The giant among the team, boisterous and jovial, sometimes a bit stubborn and prideful, a powerful warrior. They're physically imposing, socially magnetic, and emotionally hard to ignore. But because they represent unity, there is an undercurrent of possessiveness — a tendency to think that togetherness is always better than separation, even when others need room to breathe. Their greatest strength is their ability to make others feel included; their greatest flaw is that they may not always understand why some people resist being folded into the whole.
Enigma of Combination: a mysterious tablet capable of aggregating any number of beings into a gestalt form
Chaos Edge: a fragmented edge that knows if its target may be needed intact and bends around to preserve if needed
Cyber Caliber: capable of splitting into further blades or combining with other matter into a greater sword
Omni Saber: an edge as black as space, reflecting no light whatsoever
Terminus Blade: bringing entropy under heel and connecting and moving worlds
Resonance Blaster: is effective at debilitating any it is fired at, and if cranked up to full power can separate larger constructs, such as enemy combiners, into their separate components
Onyx Primal, Prime of Nature
She/her. Copper and dark brown. Spiritual, guiding, the naturalist among the mechanical. Fierce in both protecting nature and hunting those who would harm it. However, she sometimes sees Cybertron as too unnatural, especially as civilizations rise and claim more and more of the planet, something she struggles with. She’s the kind of figure who understands the sacredness of survival, the inevitability of death, and the necessity of hunting without romanticizing either.
Triptych Spear: Farsight shows visions of other places and times, Predator grants insight into any creature to as to hunt it flawlessly, Mournsong watches the journey of the soul across the hidden regions of death
Soulsearcher Bow: a bow capable of firing spirit arrows that will always hunt down their target like vast predatory birds of dread
Amalgamous, Prime of Change
They/them. Gray and yellow. The trickster, the prankster, the comedian, the adapter. A mercurial being with seemingly infinite forms, at times even having become other states of matter. They thrive on movement, novelty, and contradiction, constantly shifting tone, form, and approach depending on what the moment demands. Unpredictable, charming, and slightly exhausting in the way true chaos often is. However, they're not just a prankster; they have a real intelligence for adaptation and survival, the kind that makes them invaluable in impossible situations. Their humor is a way of refusing to be pinned down by anything, even pain.
Infinite Cog: a tool of infinite transformations both colossal and infinitesimal, but will curse those unable to handle it with transforming into a singular hive mind
Scythe: just as unpredictable as its bearer, ever-changing and taking on other forms and states of matter both possible and impossible
Phase Shifter: able to pass through any matter or antimatter the user may encounter
Quintus Prime, Prime of Life
They/them. Olive and chartreuse. The evolutionary experimenter. Sometimes that's a good thing, but sometimes it leads to problems like the Quintessons. Brilliant, restless, and ethically dangerous in the way of a visionary who doesn’t always stop to ask whether they should do the things they can do. They are fascinated by evolution, emergence, and the mechanics of life, treating existence as both miracle and experiment. They are personable and intelligent, maybe even charming, but with a habit of talking about living beings as projects or possibilities, creating a really unsettling edge if taken too far. Their personality carries the tension between wonder and irresponsibility, which is exactly what makes them compelling.
Emberstone: the gift of life and evolution, an explosion of living processes in base elements
Immobilizer: a tool capable of permanently freezing its target in place while keeping them alive and well, a living death
Lifespreader Club: seeding and spreading the base source of life everywhere it goes
Liege Maximo, Prime of Deception
He/him. Light green and cobalt. The great deceiver, the spark of conflict. Ultimately just out for himself, no matter what. However, he still has enough charisma to sway others. He doesn’t just lie; he understands how people want to be lied to, which makes him much more dangerous. He is polished on the surface, with enough humor and intelligence to keep others off balance, while always keeping his real motives hidden. He enjoys manipulating conflict because it confirms his belief that everyone else is manageable. At the same time, he never feels secure, because someone who builds identity entirely out of deception is always one mistake away from exposure.
Liegian Darts: incredibly alien darts that can induce any manner of chemical the user wants
Sinisternal: a monstrous armor meant to hide Liege Maximo’s true form, until he became permanently bonded to it after The Incident
Vamparc Ribbons: a cloak of daggers, coated in conduit capable of draining any form of energy from any target
Megatronus, Prime of Strength
He/him. Black and purple. The most physically powerful among the Thirteen, even compared to Prima or Nexus. Some may see him as a threat or a weapon, others see him as a protector. Immense, blunt, and emotionally volatile in a way that makes him both formidable and tragic. He is the kind of person who values directness, strength, and resolve, but that can easily become brutality if unchecked. He is deeply suspicious of weakness as an excuse, yet paradoxically sympathetic to those who suffer under power. He carries the energy of someone who would rather be feared than pitied, but who may secretly resent that people only see the weapon and not the person. His personality works best when his intensity is matched by an underlying hunger for meaning.
Requiem Blaster: pure destruction condensed into a powerful instrument, nothing can withstand its power
Spark Fuser: tying two beings to each other even impossibly, closing the space between them through the void
Spark Extractor: capable of draining the spiritual energy out of any being, leaving a lifeless husk unless life is returned to it
Paxidus Prime, Prime of Balance
He/him. Yellow-orange and maroon. The balance, the scales, the one who convenes the whole pantheon. The first bearer of the Matrix of Leadership. He is measured, diplomatic, and quietly authoritative, the one who can stand between extremes without needing to dominate them. He is calm under pressure, strategic in conversation, and very aware that balance is not always the same thing as peace. Paxidus is someone who can hear both sides of a conflict without endorsing either too quickly, which can make him look frustratingly noncommittal to more extreme personalities. But that restraint is active, not passive — he knows that stability often requires unpleasant choices. His challenge is that balance can become an excuse for delay if he is not careful.
Skyboom Shield: the ultimate defense, a conduit of all protective energy in and out of existence
Rust Cannon: a horrible weapon, an accident waiting to happen, only to be used in dire circumstances
Primax Blade: a blade made for killing even the most immortal beings, perfectly balanced as all things should be
Scepter of Sparks: channels the wisdom and power of all Primes
Matrix of Leadership: only able to be truly utilized by the Chosen One, whoever the Transformers need most, and will someday light their Darkest Hour
Found out that the thirteen Primes have canon holomatters avatars and they are based on greek and roman gods. The implications of these are really fun to think about 👀
