More than a little girl - Prologue
Summary: After helping Max escaping Manticore once again you must find a way to live a free life. You find yourself thrown into a world you don’t know. It’s not very helpful that Alec insists on staying by your side. The last guy you want close by.
Pairing: Alec x Reader, Max, Joshua, OMC’s
Warnings: angst, language, violence, transgenic stuff (don’t sue me for mistakes), arguments, fighting
Sitting in your room you bite your lip. Today is the day, Max and Joshua prepared everything along with X5-494, no Alec. Max named X5-494 Alec.
Taking a deep breath you wait for the signal to leave your room to run for good.
You’ve got enough of this nightmare that you call your life. Every night you have to fake pain so you don’t have to play the breeding partner of one of the X5’s.
Not that the male X5’s would be interested in you. You are much smaller and ‘weaker’ than the others. At least they believe you are…
When you hear the whistle, you use your stolen keycard to open the door. Silently walking toward Max’s room, you open it.
“Okay. Smart move to get the keycard.” Max whispers.
“Joshua and Alec along with Tracy and Beck.”
“Good. We have to be fast. I stole the card this morning. Good thing they are underestimating me all the time. Not that bad being the sick little girl…” You whisper.
“I know you are much more than a little girl, Y/N. Let’s meet with the others and get out of this hell.”
“Why is the little girl here?” Alec mutters.
“As she got the keycard and knows how to get out of here.” Max retorts.
“She will slow us down.” Beck snarls.
“No, she won’t. Now shut it. Without her, we didn’t have the chance to escape. Let’s meet with Joshua and run.”
“Max, we need to go this way to open Joshua’s cell. Then we have to hurry and access Block D before they realize I stole the keycard.”
“Okay. Let’s stop wasting time, then.” Alec mutters and you nod.
“The keycard still works. Okay, Josh, we have to hurry.”
Nodding the tall X7 leads the way toward Block D. Running through the corridor you scan your surroundings. You can sense enemies getting closer.
“Max. Enemies. At least ten. We should use the intersection over there and break through the wall instead of using the door.”
“Breaking through the wall? You are not just weak; you are insane too.” Alec grunts.
“I can do that,” Joshua says and you nod.
Storming toward the thinner outer wall you nod at Joshua and he uses all his strength to add a large crack to the wall. Ramming his body into the damaged wall he makes it crumble even more. Another blow and a huge hole let you step out into freedom.
Running toward the perimeter fence, Max knocks an X7 on her way. Another X7 stands guarding the fence. Crouching Alec takes him down. Leaping over the fence you and the other X5 escape along with Joshua.
Running down the street you are close to true freedom until you see at least ten soldiers approach.
“Maybe I should let you guys handle this, huh?” Alec cackles.
“Not funny, Alec.” You mutter checking on the enemies.
“Maybe we can talk this out.” Beck groans.
“I don’t think so,” Max says glaring at the men standing in her way.
“You take care of the X7 behind us. They are getting closer pretty fast. Josh, have my back.” You order and Alec wants to ask you if you are joking but his words die in his throat.
Transition your face you glare at him with glowing eyes. Storming toward the soldiers you smile when one of them tries to shoot you. Grabbing his arm, you smash him against the parked car blocking the street. The next soldier flies against the fence when he tries to hit you.
Another fist wants to hit you, but you are too fast. Grabbing the man’s arm harshly you break it with ease.
Taking two more soldiers out you see Joshua and Max running to your side. Taking care of two soldiers the transgenics fight by your side while you take another enemy down.
“Six down four to go.” You growl and Max nods.
Kicking the next soldier’s balls you chuckle when he groans in pain.
“Seven…” Max says glaring at the last three soldiers.
“Maybe they are smart enough to just run.” You snarl and the men drop their guns running as if their lives depend on it.
“Okay. The X7′s are down.” Alec pants looking at you changing back to normal.
“Good.” You scoff trying to hide your weak state.
“Whoa…easy tiger,” Alec says catching your fall.
“We should go now,” Joshua growls sniffing the air.
“More are coming.” You whisper. “I can’t transit again right now.”
“Then we should better take the car and move our asses.” Max orders and you nod.
Holding you into his arms Alec got no clue what to do with his new freedom all he knows is his life behind Manticore’s walls and the conversations with you through the walls of his cell…
