It's pride month so I decided to come out to my godmother. She took it so well, I'm so happy. Came out to her with a poem and she just ahhh it was great. It's the first time in a long time I could talk so openly and honestly with her. She's such an important person in my life, so lucky to have her... I can't believe I let fear hold me back for so long.

A list of things to never say/ask to someone who is trans.

I have met an amazing amount of people who are genuinely confused when it comes to the topic of transgender people. Some of them are cool and very careful with their questions and don’t end up being offensive. Then there’s the people who make me feel the need to write out instructions for them. So that’s it. I’m doing it. Here we go ((┘ﾟ∀ﾟ)┘ ︵ ┻━┻

1. So does that technically make you straight/Lesbian/Gay/Bi? Dear god no. If I’m a trans male and I’m into men, I’m homosexual. I’M GAY. If I’m a trans female and I’m into men, I’m straight.  If I’m a trans male and I can flow with either gender, I’m Bi (or Pan). It’s that SIMPLE. 

2. Do you still have a penis/vagina/boobs?  It’s none of your damn business. 

3. Well just remember, god still loves you.  ヽ(ー_ー )ノ yay me

4. What’s your real name?  It’s my preferred name. My preferred name, is my real name. 

5. What’s your birth name?  Why the hell do you care?? 

6. It’s probably a fase.  Your face is a fase. (I have the right to be immature about this stupid question.)  Seriously though, don’t ever say that to someone, wtf? 

7. Are your parents okay with this? Yes my mommy said it was okay for me to want a penis/vagina+boobs when I had my dinosaur crackers and milk this morning.

11. Well wouldn’t you reconsider if you want to have kids sometime in the future? Like, what if your husband/wife wants biological kids? (Saying if you didn’t preserve your uterus/sperm) Well then that person is shit out of luck. We can adopt, get a sperm donor,  Surrogate mothers are there for a reason as well. He/she can suck it up. And if they can’t then they’re not worth having a child with in the first place. (we’re way overpopulated anyway.)

12. Hey, I know you’re trans, have you seen [something to do with something/someone who is trans] Yes. Thank you for suggesting this thing to me solely because you know I am also transgender.
