Me when I try to present masc, but my main interests remain super cutesy and girly
No one warns trans boys about anything fr. Voice dropping? Hurts like hell and you sound dorky (affectionate and passes quickly dw). Leg hair in skinny jeans makes your legs feel numb after a while. Bottom growth too big so you have to choose which side of the seam it goes on, but so small itll break rank and shoot pain so bad youll see god into your stomach everytime you step wrong (also passes and is not permanent. And funny.)
Trans men and transmascs please share the things no one warned you about transitioning is so sexy and fun
ftm is a useful term but I wish it wasn't used as largely as it is to represent trans man and trans masc people as a whole, because I for example don't identify with it at all, it makes me feel like I should be on a set journey, with a start and an end, while I see my identity in a much different way.
I was transmasc before coming out, I was before starting hrt and I will be after top surgery, but not because they're set things for me to achieve, rather they're additions to my identity of transmasc that stands on its own.
And I feel the term ftm takes away that certainty from its identity, it feels that if you are ftm you have to have set goals, you have an end to a journey where you'll no longer be ftm, but just m.
I'm not saying there's anything wrong with identifying with the term or even seeing transition in this way, to each their own, what I'm saying is that I wish it wasn't the most used term to identify transitioning.
Instagram really liked this side by side panel I had added to a mini comic, so here it is for you 🖤 I’m glad people like seeing their teenage vs adult selves, it makes me happy! My heads not great tonight so I’ll give you this for now, and post some new art another time.
John and Caro are from my webcomic Mil-Liminal on Tapas and Webtoon (and Seemingly Dark but it doesn’t feature their teen selves)
Cis women who take testosterone aren’t taking from trans men and cis men who take estrogen aren’t taking from trans women. Everyone should have the right to look how they want. Deconstruct gender for everyone not just trans people.
Big news, friends!!!
MY BIG SISTER IS FINALLY GETTING HER LAST GENDER-AFFIRMING SURGERY!!!
She's self-employed (works tech on drag shows) and will have to take a month off to recover from her surgery. So if anyone would like to donate to help her through that, she's got a gofundme set up here!
It would mean SO much if anyone could donate anything at all! And if not, please, by all means, share this around!
She's worked so hard to get where she is and has gone through so many hard times on the road here. We're all beyond happy for and proud of her! 💗
