Is there any kind of hormone transition that doesn't include getting breasts (thx I'm curious)
If you are asking about in general, then testosterone, the male transition hormone, does not grow breasts. It does not reduce breasts to my knowledge, you have to get top surgery for that.
However, I will assume you are talking specially about getting estrogen, the female transition hormone.
This took a bit of research and I apologize if it does not fully cover everything.
To start off, there was a study that showed breast development wasn’t even that extreme, and everything in this paragraph is based off of this study. Some people expect estrogen will bring them up to a D, but that is not entirely true according to this article. It brings you simply to about an A in most cases, and surgery would probably be required to increase breast sizes.
“Almost half of the trans women had a bra cup size of less than AAA, or less than 8 centimeters, after one year of hormone therapy, researchers report in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism. Another 26 percent had an AAA cup, which runs from 8 to 10 centimeters, and 14 percent had an AA cup, from 10 to 12 centimeters”
Now, most hormone therapy is a pattern of hormone blockers and estrogen/testosterone.
If you wanted to make your body less masculine, you could take hormone blockers. However, hormone blocker drugs, to my knowledge, are literally chemotherapy drugs. But it would prevent your body from becoming incredibly masculine like it would without the drugs, and it would not develop breasts like estrogen would.
I do believe that all types of estrogen would produce some type of breast development. If you did do hormone blockers, you could use things like wardrobe and hair to maximize femininity/androgyny without breasts.
You could also do estrogen, fully transition, and then get top surgery. This seems like it would best cover what you seem to be asking for, a very feminine body but no breasts.
I would strongly recommend talking to a doctor about this if you want to transition. I am by no means an expert, not in any medical field and certainly not transitioning. I am years away from my own transitioning, and when I do, it will not be with estrogen.
Best of luck! This was my first ask, so if you have more questions that I did not cover, feel free to ask some more!
