are trans men the men of trans people
Could you maybe clarify further what this means, anon? Like… yes trans men are men and are “of trans people” in terms of being in the trans community, so what are you even saying?

thres some1 on pokefram whos entire un/desc is a "dont assume my gender" joke and. idk if i /should/ report them but i kind of want to because it feels like theyre making fun of trans/nb ppl
petty shit dont r3bl0gg
so i was working this talent show/gala type thing tonight with a good amount of drag performers in it mixed in with the female performers and like. okay i’m gonna start off with saying that i’m totally cool with drag as a thingy that people do, and i know it has its place in the lgbt community as a means of expression and shit, but god the way these performers were treated and respected made me wanna slam my fucking head into the wall repeatedly. they were all as a group referred to as “ladies” and were called their proper stage names and stage pronouns and everything and like, that’s not what bothered me. what bothered me was how it suddenly dawned on me: it didn’t feel like they were forcing themselves to do it to just be polite. it was like they earnestly saw the drag queens as equal to the cis female performers.
like wow dude i’m so fuckin glad that your goddamn stage persona that you get to take off at the end of the night is getting treated with more tact and compassion than my 24/7 one that i don’t get to put away or reserve for performance like you do. great to know that a cis man impersonating me deserves more respect than the real thing who has to deal with the transmisogyny that he propagates with his goddamn stage presence.
god i’m just.... so, so fucking tired of people giving drag a free pass at freedom of expression while blatantly ignoring the real consequences that it has on trans women, whether that’s its goal or not, and accusing the people who have the nerve to criticize it intolerant or queerphobic or whatever
like. i’m not suggesting we put an end to drag altogether, just... maybe re-examine it??? and be more wary about the actions and stereotypes that we perform while doing it??? cuz like. literally everyone who belongs to some kind of community owes itself to that kind of self-analyzation, especially if it aims to be a positive and fun experience.
Just had a (NB) friend talk about how they would never be with a cis man again and wanting to wipe their memories of being with cis men in the past all while saying how hot some trans men are and I'm so unsure of how to take that
What fucks me up about being queer is the constant fear. Not only because the political climate becomes more and more unbearable wherever you live. Not because hateful people spew their hateful rhetorics to you and talk about your human rights as if they are up for debate. I feel so angry and tired about it.
No, that's not even it. It's not even the ever growing queerphobia. Well... It's an aspect but anyway.
It's having to expect that love is conditional.
I grew up in a loving family. I have the privilege of having somewhat a good childhood. I have been loved by my parents, although I don't know what my father would have said about my queerness. Probably we would have had our arguments about it. Is it bad, that I'm kind of relieved that I didn't have to live through that? I guess losing a parent at 12 years old has its perks.
Sorry. I'm just frustrated. My mother had been the biggest ally in my family and right now I just feel so alone. She died almost three years ago and now that it's pride month I miss her even more.
I still have my brother and his family, but I'm anxious. I felt a bit closer since I have been diagnosed with ADHD and made voice memos about my life to them. I really was very glad to so that. And yet...
I mentioned how I was kinda hatecrimed recently (nothing too serious, it was only somewhat verbal and not physical). And somehow that prompted my SIL to say that she'd like to talk to me about my gender identity?
Like... I actually dread it. Sure, it could be nothing and maybe she's cool and just wanting to ask me about pronouns or stuff.
But what if it's not cool?
What if I'll lose my family once again after I isolated myself due to depression some years ago?
It fucks me up. The fact that I even have to consider it. The fact that I'm not safe with people I should consider myself safe because we're bonded by blood.
I mean... I have my chosen family ready if I'd lose it all. But... Why do I have to deal with it? Why does simply living feel like a privilege?
I'm really pissed.
me seeing “female” in a bio instead of pronouns
:’(
my therapist doesn’t seem to take anything I say about gender seriously Because I made the mistake of saying my dysphoria is less sometimes and more other times, she seems to think I’m not solidly one gender or another which...I did ID as genderfluid briefly but honestly that never fit exactly right and I KNOW I’m a trans guy and I need her to be in my corner on this but how do I get someone in my corner who thinks I’ll be fine if I just “ignore it til it goes away”? I’ve been talking to her about dysphoria for over a year now. I’ve been complaining about people using she/her pronouns for me. I’ve talked about coming out, only to get told again and again to wait and “sit on my feelings”. Like, NO.
I just...I wish I had at least one person irl who sees me as a man. Just. One. But alas...
maybe i should just broach this gently. say i’m going to dress as marlene dietrich next halloween, or something
but fuck that’s going to be my senior year i don’t have enough time before i graduate and won’t be able to experiment with gender anymore...
