-My Favourite finds in Chennai (1)-

I found a farm shop in my neighbourhood. There was a signpost and a little black door padlocked in a completely residential area off the main street. So, I went back to check that out after work.

The black door was opened, yay! A smiling old man stood up who was sitting by the tiny table by the tiny entrance. He was ever so tiny. A dwarf, that’s the correct word to describe him. He looked like he could have been the one who saved the snow white, when he was young.

かかった小さな黒い扉を見かけたので、仕事帰りに行って見た。

やった、黒い扉が開いていた！すると狭い入り口の小さなテーブルに腰掛けていた爺さんがニコニコして立ち上がった。爺さんはかなり小さかった。小人だ、それがぴったりの表現だ。たぶん、若い時に白雪姫を助けたに違いない。
