We were on vacation in Prague and you can’t walk a minute within the city without seeing “Trdlo’s”. We obviously had to try some! And they were definitely really good! They had icecream inside and we could watch them bake the Trdlo on sticks :) Though I couldn’t finish the entire thing :P It was a great thing to try on our last day :)

Prague - Day 2

It’s been snowing today. It’s quite cold here now. Apparently, many houses in Prague are heated by furnaces so it’s often possible to see smoke from the chimneys.

The hanging man with umbrella is already a second hanging man I’ve seen in Prague. The first one is an art piece representing Sigmund Freud who is hanging by a hand and pondering whether to hold on or let go. I haven’t found any info about the umbrella man, though.

Tasting traditional Czech sweets: trdlo or trdelník is a sweet pastry with filling. Goes perfectly with svařák(mulled wine).

Went shopping today and finally got to practice my Czech a little bit when I found a shop assistant who didn’t understand Russian. Most people here understand Russian (and English), so all my convos went like this: me: *question in Czech* - them:*reply in Russian*.

Went to the Alphonse Mucha museum: a Czech Art Nouveau painter and decorative artist.
