props to john lithgow for convincingly combining "ideal image of popeliness" (something it's obvious in the book that Tremblay is at pains to project) with an utterly swagless, negative charisma modifier of a personality. truly just the ted cruz of wannabe popes.

Finished full sized Conclave sheet! It's just the first, to try and force myself to learn how to draw the characters. Mostly studies from stills of the film and then some silly shenanigans.

Some highlights-

Younger Benitez in Kabul dressed with a local pakol and scarf, cross hidden beneath his clothes. Then experiencing some regrets at the conclave.

Tremblay came out perfect on my first try, that evil scheming bitch (love him). I don't think I'll ever beat this??

Aldo gets fought over by Tedesco and Lawrence. Little to they know pope innocentius is about to swoop in and steal him away.
