All these years of thinking I was a giant idiot because I keep getting lost in Fallout 3 and the map doesn't help me, a map guy, at all.

Turns out this game is the end result of people planning to make a giant game that was too big for 2007 tech, so at the relative last minute they chopped out half the content, then only had enough time to sort of make the map represent the new game.

The map in Fallout 3 is virtually useless. It doesn't even match the basic geography. There are roads and districts on the map that literally don't exist in the game. They basically used a 2.0 map for the 3.4 game.

So I'm an idiot, just not about this. This is someone else's fault.

I am no @keenancornelius. But the lapel are really useful at times. I use it to lock people down or as in this case, setup a triangle.
