now what santos did for langdon in season 1, whether or not she intended it to be, was an immense act of compassion and humanity; she helped him get the help he needed to save his career (something that, say, malpractice/killing a patient would eliminate from the equation) and quite possibly his life (at least how he knew it). I think he knows that; I think he is grateful or at least understanding (because recovery isn't linear and wounds take time to heal).
but there's no way that santos knows that; she only knows that he disliked her even before she told on him (repeatedly!!!) and that he snapped at her once. sure, maybe it was a bad day, maybe it was the drugs, but it's the only day she has to go on, to base his entire character off of. so a man who disliked you and who yelled at you walks back into the place where you had him fired because of an issue deeply personal and painful to him and of course you're not going to want to talk to him, and sure as hell not ALONE. because you are a woman, and he is a man who has a history of snapping on you. and all this to say that santos has an extremely understandable aversion to talking to langdon any more than professionally necessary and i wonder if that will come up if/when he tries to apologize to her.
