TRIPLEX is the second subunit to come from Triptych’s second generation, making them the fifth subunit to join Triptych’s lineup. Made up of their youngest members to date (with members born in 2000), TRIPLEX adds a cute and juvenile twist to Triptych’s usual edgy concept. Known for their catchy dances, TRIPLEX easily stands out in the large line up the group has to offer.

↪ 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐲 - anyone that knows chaewon would instantly label her as someone who’s funny. she uses her humor to her advantage, using it to break the ice and to settle drama. she also loves seeing people smile and be happy.
↪ 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 - she prides herself on her understanding of others. usually, she can tell when people are having a bad day just by how they are acting. she will always take the time to hear people out, especially the people closest to her.
↪ 𝐧𝐨𝐬𝐲- sometimes chaewon can be pretty nosy. she just wants to know what everyone’s doing all the time. it can sometimes come off as endearing, but most of the time it comes off as a nuisance. she loves being in the loop, and she doesn’t mind invading personal space to find out some information.
↪ 𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 - maybe it’s a part of her fun-loving personality, but chaewon can also be pretty immature, especially when it comes to making jokes and taking them too far. she’s still young and has room to grow but the little, trivial things sometimes get to her the most.

↪ 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞: chaewon has lived happily with her mom and father in seoul her entire life. due to her mother being from toyko, japan, chaewon speaks both korean and japanese at home. being an only child meant that chaewon received a lot of attention from her parents growing up. she wasn’t exactly spoiled, but she was always the center of attention. her parents had a gut feeling that one day, their daughter would go into the entertainment industry. even though they know that the industry isn’t the best, they support their daughter full-heartedly, but they are always on their toes in case they need to get involved legally.
↪ 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐛𝐮𝐭: chaewon was a bit of a trouble maker in school. she was a good kid, but she loved getting people’s attention. while the class was presenting their book reports one day, chaewon had an idea to spice things up. when it was her turn, she freestyle rapped her entire book report for the class. her teacher, who was fortunately appreciative of the creativity, asked her if she wanted to be an idol. at the time, chaewon joked that she was in training under jyp to be a member of a girl group. she thought it was funny, but everyone else believed her. too embarassed to admit that she was lying, she auditioned for jyp as soon as possible. surprisingly, she made it into the company. she trained at jyp for a couple months before appearing on produce 101 with sun. after produce 101, the two of them stayed at jyp for another year and a half before they both left the company.
at hbh, she was very popular due to her previous exposure. because she was already such a popular trainee, hbh instantly placed her in the predebut group echo’s line up. a year later, she was a debuted member of triptych.

↪ 𝟒𝐝 - sunhee is an odd girl. she’s always been seen as odd, and it used to bother her that she seemed to weird out everyone around her. now she thinks of herself as unique. if you don’t understand why she does the things she does, don’t worry about it. it all makes sense to her, and that’s what matters.
↪ 𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 - she sees it, she wants it. her ambition sharpened since participating in produce 101, but she’s always had a fire inside of her to push for what she wants. she’s resilient, knowing that there’s no way she can fail if she gives it her all. her ambition is infectious. her hard-working attitude inspires others.
↪ 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 - sunhee wants real-world results instantly. her least favorite part of being an idol is the steps that it takes to perfect dances and stages. she wants to be perfect right now. she doesn’t want to struggle with anything, she wants the result to be here and for it to be perfect. she’s not patient with others either and can get irritated if people are not up to speed with her.

↪ 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞: sunhee is the youngest of two siblings, one brother one sister. she’s the only one out of her immediate family that was born on american soil. her brother and sister are several years older than her, so they’ve spent more time living in korea than in the states. because of this, she had a very different set of beliefs growing up and was way more rebellious than her family. she loves her parents, and they love her, but she’s always gotten a thrill out of pushing their buttons. the biggest struggle she had with her family was when she announced that she auditioned for jyp without telling them and that she had a callback for auditions. her parents were a little upset, especially because they had no intent of returning to korea, but they support her. her older siblings have always been supportive of her and continue to be huge triptych fans.
↪ 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐛𝐮𝐭: she kept her singing ability hidden for years. mostly because she thought she wasn’t good enough, and secondly because she didn’t want her mom signing her up for church choir. when she was about fourteen, she decided that she had enough of dancing around her room and pretending it was a stage. she wanted her dreams to be reality. she made her brother take her to an international audition round. she trained for two years before being sent to produce 101. after produce 101, she trained for another 2 years at jyp before leaving the company with one and hyo and joining hbh. at hbh she was much happier and felt less pressured. people knew her from her produce days, but she didn’t feel like she was being placed on a pedestal. after training for a year at hbh, she was placed in the predebut project girl group ‘echo’. eventually, she debuted with triptych.

↪ 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 - if you asked heshen, he probably would deny that he’s charming at all, but he is. he just doesn’t realize it. people like him so much because he’s always very attentive and engaging with them. he finds everyone interesting in their own unique way and his interest in others makes people want to be around him more.
↪ 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞 - everything he does, he does from a strong sense of feeling. he will never half-ass something he’s interested in. if it’s something that doesn’t stimulate him, maybe. but when it comes to things he loves, he’ll pour his heart and soul into it. this also applies to relationships with others. if he wants to maintain a relationship - platonic or romantic - he’ll give it his all.
↪ 𝐚𝐰𝐤𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 - even though he can be a social butterfly on a good day, nine times out of ten he comes off as a little awkward. his awkwardness shows the most when conversations die and he starts rambling about random things to avoid that awkward silence he hates so much. he’s also not the best at comforting people, so he gets really awkward in emotionally raw situations.
↪ 𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐲 - he’s still young, so maybe he’ll grow out of this trait, but he’s awfully moody. he can be smiling and having a great time one second and then being upset and miserable the next. this could also have something to do with the fact that he’s a pretty sensitive person. it’s not uncommon for him to get snippy and sarcastic when he’s feeling moody.
↪ 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞: heshen was raised single-handedly by his mom in hong kong, china after his father passed away a year after he was born. heshen doesn’t have any memories of his father, but he was never too bothered by that because he always had his mom there to support him. even though growing up in a single-income home was struggling at times, heshen never would consider his childhood to be difficult. his life revolved around music at a really young age, so it was no surprise to his mother when heshen announced that he wanted to be a singer. she was always extremely supportive of his decisions and still to this day is unbelievably proud of her son.
↪ 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐛𝐮𝐭: before joining hbh, heshen trained for two years under yuehua entertainment in beijing. after two years, he didn’t resign his contract with the company and instead auditioned for multiple korean entertainment companies, including hbh, sm, and stone entertainment. he was accepted into hbh and stone music, ultimately choosing hbh in the end. his trainee days would have been extremely tough for heshen if he didn’t meet his best friends and group mates one and sun. with their help, his dance skills improved greatly and he became more confident in singing. staff noticed heshen’s rapid growth and development and offered him a spot in the trainee project group ‘answer’. after promoting and training with ‘answer’, heshen debuted in triptych under the name ‘kit’, becoming the second chinese member to join the line up.
