🍎 - go apple picking

“Hold still! I’m going to fall!” She laughed as she reached for the juiciest looking apple on the tree that also happened to be the highest up. That was why she was perched on Flynn’s shoulders while he stood on a small stool. Her free hand tightly gripped his, trying to hold herself steady. She shook her head when he asked if she wanted to come down. “No, I can get it, I swear, just a little more...” She stretched up. “Can you stand on your toes or something?” She knew it was a horrible idea, but she had to push it a little more. She could feel the apple at the tips of her fingers. “Jump a little! You heard me!” She nodded when he repeated the request dubiously. “If we fall, you’ll catch me right?” She looked down at him, grinning when he finally agreed. “On three. One, two...three!” With the little push, she reached out and grasped the apple, plucking it from the tree just as the two began to fall. Rather than any sort of fear, Esme just laughed as the hit the ground, or rather she hit Flynn’s chest and showed him the apple triumphantly. “Told you, you’d catch me.” @flynn-omalley

🏰 - spend the night in a spooky vacation spot

“Don’t look at me like that.” She tried to ignore the gaze she felt on her back as she set up her sleeping bag incredibly close to his on one side and next to the wall on the other. “This is a creepy house only idiots like us pay money to camp out in, not a five star hotel. And it’s not like I believe in ghosts or anything, but better safe than sorry, right?” Even if she didn’t believe in ghosts, the place still creeped her out. It almost looked too normal or it would if it weren’t for the outdated furniture and the creepy dolls watching them. The more she looked around the room, the more unnerved she felt. “Stop smirking and get your ass over here,” she rolled her eyes and gestured him over. She didn’t want to admit that she was more than a little creeped out, but at this point, he’d be able to tell even if she tried to hide it. “You totally planned this because you knew I’d get like this, didn’t you, you asshole?” Though the words sounded harsh, she didn’t mean the name calling as anything other than a joke. Almost an endearment really. As they laid down, the house creaked to the wind around it and she frowned, scooting a little closer to him. She wanted to pull his arms around her and fit herself into his body until she felt safe, but she’d lost that right, and she figured she was pushing her luck as it was. “Promise me you won’t leave my side until the sun’s up.” It was only with his promise that she was able to let her body relax just a little and close her eyes to drift off to sleep. @byron--taylor

⛺ - rent a cabin for the weekend

“I feel like it shouldn’t have to be said, but I’m going to say it just in case. You know that just because I went home with you for Christmas doesn’t mean you’re automatically entitled to weekend trips every holiday, right?” She opened the door to the quaint cabin as he made his way through with all the suitcases. “This hardly even qualifies as a holiday actually. Halloween is so far away, and that’s not exactly a vacation kind of celebration.” Before she even finished her sentence she could see him revving up to tell her that this was just proof that she actually wanted to spend alone time with him and she held a hand up to stop him. “Don’t. Say. It. Just appreciate that I’m here. Preferably in silence.” Though she knew that wasn’t bound to last for more than a few seconds. “Actually, I’m surprised I’m the one you chose to bring for your big weekend get away. Did you decide to take a break from sweeping people off their feet?” Again, only seconds after she said it, she could have parroted his exact reply to her. “Tripp! Can’t you just let us enjoy the weekend without the bogus come ons?” She grabbed her suitcase and handed it to him before he could say anything else. “Can you take that upstairs for me?” she batted her lashes at him, “Please?”

our muses attending a christmas party

It was wild how one could step into a space and feel so at home and yet so out of place at the same time. The grandeur and the finery of the New York elite’s scene was something Willow was more than accustomed to. She’d grown up in it. She’d been to this party every year. She knew everything from the gold and silver tinsel to the Christmas angel ice sculpture they used every year as a centerpiece, but this year felt different. This year she wanted to disappear into the crowd. Silently, she reached out to grip Tripp’s hand, feeling like she needed his strength to get her through the annual party. “Somehow this is a lot more pretentious than I remember it being previous years,” she joked to try to settle her nerves. She’d never been this worried about running into her parents before.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw her mother and father mingling with some family friends, and immediately turned to Tripp and hiding her face from them. “Why don’t we go dance? I mean we’ve got all night to say hi to people, and I feel like I need to stretch my legs after that long plane ride,” she started to move him to the dance floor without waiting for an answer. “And before you say anything, don’t read anything into the fact that they’re playing Baby It’s Cold Outside. This is not a seduction, and you’re still not as hot as you think you are.”

2, our muses decorating the christmas tree

A look of amusement painted it’s way onto Vienna’s features as she stepped foot into the living room with a couple of glasses of wine in her hands. “I’m guessing when I invited you over to spend the night this isn’t exactly what you had in mind. That I would actually be putting you to work tonight.” She teased, making her way towards the man who was sat on her sofa among the plethora of Christmas decorations that she’d splurged on and now hogged. “And I know what you’re thinking. That look on your face is clearly judging me for the amount of decor that I have and I admit that I may have gone just a bit overboard but it’s my first Christmas in this house so I thought I’d splurge a little.” Vienna made an attempt to defend her actions as she handed him one of the glasses and sat down beside him. So maybe it wasn’t just a little overboard but there was just something about the magic of Christmas that Vienna couldn’t quite resist, especially growing up in the large Ricci clan. Yes, she was that obnoxious person who tended to go overboard with the Christmas decorations but the festive season was her favorite time of the year that she just couldn’t help herself.

“Besides– I do need your help.” Vienna grinned at him as she set her glass upon the coffee table and began digging out the Christmas decorations to find the shiny silver Christmas star topper. “You’re much taller than I am and I certainly can’t reach the top of this tree on my own so what do you say? Will you help me decorate the tree? Pretty please?” She knew she was practically begging at this stage but it was Christmas and Vienna was determined to get Tripp in the festive spirit and have a little fun while decking out her house. “Tell you what– how about this?” She proposed as she pushed the ornament into the palm of his hand before leaning in to steal a lingering kiss from him. “If you help me decorate this tree then I promise tomorrow evening I’ll do whatever activity you want me to do. Your pick. I won’t complain.” Vienna smirked at him with a twinkle in her eye as she took his hand and pulled him up towards the tree.
