orion pax headcanons

↻ personal headcanons for pre-war/prime archivist orion pax. don't agree with them? that's fine, no need to give me hate or point it out.

Orion-Pax

Super sarcastic; like, this kiddo has something sassy to say about literally everyone who comes into the hall. Usually keeps the comments in his head or mumbles them under his breath

Talks to himself a lot since he’s alone at work most of the time

Really passionate about peace and justice and all that, often lights up when Megatronus comes to visit him

Keeps things bottled up until he snaps and rants for hours about all the things that are making him frustrated (everything from that one visitor at work to cybertron’s current government)

Light-weight with high-grade; he can hardly handle a cube without getting processor-pounding drunk

Can walk into a room and all conflict will stop when he steps through the door (he has that determined air about him, plus, let’s face it, his paint job is hella eye-catching)

Hates being the center of attention

Perfectly content to stay inside and curl up with a good book

Doesn’t get angry very often, but has a surprisingly fiery temper when he gets riled up

Has the most innocent sounding laugh??

Super curious and always craving new data or new information; he’ll brighten instantly if someone brings up or offers something new in a conversation

Has no fucking clue how to use any weapons of the sort- he’d probably shoot himself in the eye if he attempted to handle one

Sweet-talker but doesn’t realize it; he can defuse literally any situation with his words but doesn’t even grasp how much power he holds or how he affects others

Workaholic, would absolutely work himself into stasis if it weren’t for Megatronus or Ratchet pulling him out of Iacon hall before he collapses

So I was thinking about the size differences between all the autobots in tfp, and it really hit me just how huge optimus is compared to everyone else? He's not only helms taller than everyone else, but he's wider-chested than the majority of the other 'bots.

That got me thinkin': what if, whenever an autobot gets injured on the battlefield, prime is always the one to pick them up and carry them back to base? Optimus is really the only bot who's capable of picking the others up (especially ratchet and bulkhead); there's no way in primus bumblebee would be able to carry prime or the medic back to base unless he tag-teamed the weight with someone else.

Just imagine bumblebee gettin' hit with a fusion cannon and falling into stasis- when his optics online again, he finds himself cradled in the arms of optimus and held close to the prime's chassis as his leader darts through the space bridge and into the control room of the base? Optimus doesn't just do this for the smaller members of his team (bumblebee and arcee) but for everyone because of his enhanced strength due to his modified warframe and the power of the matrix.

He's so soft-sparked and pure that Optimus would absolutely carry any bot in need of help off the battlefield and shield them close to his chassis to protect the from harm. He's just so strong and large compared to everyone else that it's almost habit (I don't think any of the bots have the capacity to carry optimus if he went down completely, it would be a group effort).

The best thing about it is that he doesn't even realize how strong he his, or how amazing and honestly pure his actions are when he just scoops an injured bot into his arms like a protective father.

Seekers' wings are actually pretty damn expressive if you pay close attention to them; like, when the bot they're attached to gets irritated or sad or something, their wings will hang down lower than before, and they'll flutter a bit when they get excited or overly happy (Starscream from tfp is a somewhat decent example).

Imagine Tailgate and Cyclonus just hanging out at Swerve's in a rare moment of peace and quiet when Tailgate says something and Cyclonus actually laughs. The entire bar just sort of quiets, not because of his laugh but because of his wings.

They're just fluttering.

Tailgate sort of sits there, frozen, with a look of awe on his face as he witnesses one of the most menacing and dangerous bots on the Lost Light give a small smile as his wings flutter up and down in delight.

Oh Primus, Tailgate just thinks it's the cutest thing he's ever seen.

From that moment on, Tailgate tries his hardest to make his pointy husband happy and safe just so he can appreciate Cyclonus and his lovely little wings.

and you are left with nothing

So let's imagine that Hot Rod's been 'upgraded' to Rodimus Prime after the death of Optimus Prime, and he's back on the LL; the crew all stand back, a little, as he perches himself in front of the window and just gazes out into space with a cold stare.

Everyone just waits.

It's so unlike him, Rodimus, to just simply stand there, silent. The rest of the crew form a sort of arc around him, fidgeting, as they wait for him to say something- anything.

Yet he doesn't.

The captain is just so damn tired of the universe fragging around with his life, and the guilt revolving around the death of Optimus Prime and his involvement is just absolutely crushing him, crushing every one of his ideals and morals and the line he drew between right and wrong; when Ultra Magnus attempts to talk to him, Rodimus simply turns on his heel strut and walks away, silent.

It's haunted the crew ever since.
