Every step of the first mile was a struggle. Stopped for a picture, smiled, and immediately had a better run. What gets you going? | #runningpics #runoutside #triathlon #triseason #tritraining #triathlete #outsideisfree #runhappy #selfiesunday #runselfie #shamelessselfie (at Moraga Commons Park)
Sweeming kicked my butt today. Thought about staying for a double but my comfy @morrobaytri shirt was calling from the locker room. | #postswimselfie #calmasters #triathlon #tritraining #triseason #swimmingpics #morrobaytri #swimsaturday #fitness #fitselfie (at Golden Bear's Recreation Center at UC Berkeley)

Great training day today...shed some blood but no tears! #trilife #triseason #swimbikerun 🚴😑 (at Tradition Mississippi)
45 minutes on the trainer
16 miles. Avg over 20 mph. 84 cadence.
Excited about the possibilities in 5 months.
35 minute training ride this morning.
Need(ed) to remind myself that I’m starting this process a whopping 2-3 months ahead of last year. That in itself is a goal achieved. Now for longer rides, higher cadence and more power.
First Ride Since August
Yikes!
It wasn’t pretty - but I got through it.Ended up finishing just over 30 minutes (32:01 to be exact). 10 minute warm up, 20 minute at target cadence (at this point in the season low-mid 80′s) with a 2 minute cool down.
Although my legs didn’t slip right back into their pace/cadence, I will say I was suprised at how comfortable I was on the bike. There were times in the beginning of last season (note-I didn’t start until like March) and I could barely stand to sit on the trainer for more than 15 minutes. Today, 30 minutes felt short. I think a part of the reason is my body knows what’s coming, I’ve prepared it, this is nolonger new. Also my new wireless headphones and traprock station were AWESOME.
So yeah - good way to start the morning and my feelings about the 2016 season.
