Serbia won the quarter final tie against Spain after Viktor Troicki and Nenad Zimonjic won the doubles in five sets on Saturday. Serbia will travel to France in September for the Davis Cup semi finals.

Novak and his compatriot and friend Viktor Troicki will team up for the doubles competition at the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters. They will face Gilles Muller and Gilles Simon in the first round on Monday at about 3pm local time (CET).

Novak and Viktor Troicki also lost their quarter final match against Raven Klaasen and Rajeev Ram 6-3 2-6 6-10.
