Usurna and Vendal, but their both baby’s, please
//Ok! So since I forgot to post these last night, have a second batch of troll baby screenshots, this time involving babies from @thread-and-thrum , @gckotails , @daylightisminetoconsume , @forlornfrostborn , @arcadiaoaksusedbooks , and @ask-madam-ruby !
Something I’ve been wondering about for a bit is: how are troll whelps made? Is it similar to how human babies are made? Where do birthstones fit in? Do two trolls take pieces of their living stone and combine them and then a whelp emerges from the stone sometime later?
Something I can’t help but think about is the time Blinky said that Gunmar emerged from the first heartstone after it rotted from within so that leads me to believe that all troll whelps come about like that (though not the rotting heartstone part). And if troll whelps are born like that then how do they decide the parents? Does someone just assign the whelp to a parent or does a troll see and newborn whelp and go: “is anyone gonna adopt that?” and then not wait for an answer? If that’s the case then what happens if two or more trolls want to adopt the same whelp? Is it a shared custody situation or do they fight to see who gets to raise the whelp?
I am genuinely so curious like I want to know!!!

OVERWHELPING CIRCUMSTANCES.
More troll babbies!!
First up in the topmost pic we have the ever wonderful Madra - daughter of Gunmar and my OC Kaska (and thusly Bular’s half sister) - playing with the ripped out spine of someone who royally pissed off her dad.
Second in the topmost pic we have Dura, who is Bular’s granddaughter (daughter of Bular’s son Dokarr).
Lastly on the topmost pic we have Bekra holding her doll. She is Madra’s cousin (daughter of Kaska’s sister Gella).
Next up we have a so-far unnamed daughter of Wyra and Angor Rot.
And lastly we have one of Bekra’s older brothers, Serrang. They have an additional elder sibling named Kollek.
Everyone except the Wyra/Angor kid belongs to the Feudal Troll AU, wherein there ends up being a horde of troll whelps running about Gunmar’s Citadel. The ringleader is Bular’s oldest daughter, Leska - six of her siblings in tow. Rounded out by four cousins from her mom’s side of the family, two second cousins, auntie Madra, plus Madra’s three cousins, two whelps that belong to one of the higher ranking guards, and niece Dura (the youngest of the group). They are a collective terror and woe befall anyone who even tries to do them harm.
This is, of course, just an excuse to draw many troll babbies.

Trollhunters headcanons
Here are some headcanons on troll whelps. •When a mother troll becomes pregnant with a troll whelp, she carries the egg of her whelp inside of her womb. •They carry their young for two years inside of their womb. They always have to wear tight clothing to help with their back while holding their swollen bellies. •Once it's time to give birth, they have to go to a cave full of crystals. The glowing of the crystals helps them feel at ease. •After they give birth, they have an egg to take care of. It is round, and not very attractive looking. It is like a geode when it carries the baby. The baby would take about a week before it hatches and reveals it's cute self. •Their stone skin is soft and fragile, and it feels like human skin. Their sizes vary, depending on what species of troll they are. Except for Arrrgh. He was born really small. I think he was a runt, and ended up being the biggest out of all of the other Krubera. •Their size as newborn infants varies from troll species. They could easily fit into a human's arms, or be as big as one. •As whelps, they grunt, whimper, or howl to get their parents' or guardian's attention. •When they hatch, they are blind until they are a couple of weeks. So, they have to drag themselves around when they try to find their parents.
