Chihuahua for scale
It's always interesting to see what kinds of volunteer plants come up on their own at the farm. We haven't grown black cherry tomatoes in years because their flavor isn't particularly good, and we have never grown trombone squash at all. So how they got here is a bit of a mystery. We did bring in compost at one point when the last of the raised beds were built, but from 2017- onward it's all been out own soil. Could the seeds have survived multiple winters if that's where they're from? Looks like it. I doubt local animals brought these in since they are uncommon varieties.
Trombolino squash taking over the world. This one plant has spread across 5 beds.
