Trot Lovers Drama Review

A pop romantic drama.

Well, the drama didn’t really make me love it so much. It did serves as a drama you can watch to give entertainment while waiting for the best drama to come. I do appreciate the acting prowess of the main leads especially their chemistry and singing talents. Actually, the musical drama was original in some way because it focuses to a different genre of music. I think that was their edge. The storyline was not good enough because they are already predictable (some parts of it) and ordinary. I love how they insert funny moments with the other characters when the episode is kind of boring. The production was rushed but at least it did finish as something good. It is something that suffices your hunger for drama for a short period of time. Another thing I love with this drama is because of their music especially the soundtrack and featured songs. If you are bored, you can watch this entertaining, comedic drama.

 Plot:Jang Joon-Hyun (Ji Hyun-Woo) is a talented and popular musician. He looks down upon the traditional trot music genre. Meanwhile, Choi Choon-Hee supports her family by herself and she is crazy about trot music. A romantic relationship begins between these two individuals.

Trot lovers: Final thought

I honestly give a round of applause for whoever decided to cast Jung eunji, because she honestly made the drama. I honestly don't think anyone else could have pulled off the acting she did, and I just give a huge round of applause for both Eunji and the casting crew. 

My thoughts on the drama overall was okay, I think the great thing about this drama was the genre of music picked for the drama, trot. Trot is something I would have never listened too before, but although I don't listen to it now, I was able to get a sense of different music, and also be able to learn more of Eunji's capability as a singer. It gave me appreciation more for the genre, and had it been just normal pop used the drama would not have had the flare it did. 

at first I shipped Chun hee and the president like everyone else, but the chemistry really grew between her and Hyun woo, which in the end, lead me to stan both pairings even though I knew which pairing would end up together. 

The president was also one of the most enjoyable people to watch during the drama, his character was so wise and caring, and not like other presidents who are stupid and ignorant. It was honestly a pleasure to watch his scenes, and he never failed to make me smile when he made some comment to Hyun-woo about Chun hee being all sly. 

Like any other drama, you always have to have a corrupted character, and it's usually always the mother of the opponent, I had pity for Soo in, even though I also hated her. Honestly, Soo in's actions to try and kill Chun hee was twisted, but I guess jealousy can really lead to situations like that. It's sad in the end, that even though Soo in learned at the VERY ending, her mother learned nothing, and she still deserves a slap in the face. 

I don't have many thoughts for this drama, the side stories were great, the climax was a tad off with the killing this for me, but overall good drama, good cast. 7.5/10 for me.
