Never Mix business with pleasure

If there is anything I have learnt so far in 2018 pertaining to Business Management is that:

This common principle "Never mix business with Pleasure" is vaguely defined, thus it's true meaning is arguably misunderstood.

Generally speaking, most people seem to think that this principle simply means "One should refrain from establishing any forms of either sexual or romantic relations with their prospective business partners or personnel". Even though this, to some extent, might be true and relevant. It is just not sufficient in carrying the definitive meaning of the principle.

Contrary to the above, in my opinion, I think this means one should try by all possible means to Apply his mind and not his heart. This applies whenever one is confronted with a crucial decision to make, this is also true when one is about to take a life changing business risk. The competent interpretation of the saying: Don't mix business with pleasure simply means:

Rigorously apply your mind to its true potential and resist the temptation of making an irrational decision due to the pressure of your heart's desires.
