Tips for keeping your writing from being constantly negative-

For every:

-Bad thing that happens, add at least 2-3 good things

-Bad character, give them a few positive traits

-Fight in a relationship, add a few cute moments

-Time a character cries, make them laugh

-Rivalry, add a friendship

-Depressing moment, add a few sweet ones

-Time a character feels hopeless, give them a reason to be hopeful

Try not to:

-Make everyone depressed

-Have a string of negative events without any positive ones

-Have every character have major trauma

-Make your antagonists completely terrible

Try to:

-Have strong relationships between characters

-Give characters things to be positive about

-Have hopeful moments

-Have generally positive/nice characters
