The Apartment Life heavy metal barstool and dining chair are another eyesore set in the game: they look promisingly grungy, but IMO end up too cartoony for good dive bar vibes. So I've made an alternative!
Worn polyester seats that will definitely stick to the back of your sim's legs.
I borrowed the metal frame from Misty-Fluff's Resident Evil 7 chair and then meshed the cushions myself. I stretched and rearranged the texture mapping so the chairs would have some scuff marks and look as lived-in as the originals.
Now the set is a better fit for your gas stations, your laundromats, and your biker bars :D
This is my first mesh in a very long time, so please be kind! I’m big on 90s comedy like Seinfeld and It’s Garry Shandling Show. These shows are not only funny, but a great time capsule of 90s American culture. And part of that culture is big baggy button up shirts. I was trying to make a Garry Shandling sim, and there was no shirt baggy enough for my needs. So I meshed my own!
There are 10 textures that are repository, slaved to the base game shirt amtopcowboyshirt. And there are 9 plain colours by yours truly [white, grey, black, lavender, purpleyblue, baby blue, red, mid blue and teal].
Young Adult and Adult Male sims
Comes with a fat morph
Has been compressorised
Has been tooltipped
Slaved recolours will not work if you have a default replacement for amtopcowboyshirt installed

I'm usually forgiving of TS2's goofy aesthetics, but the Family Fun undersea set has always bothered me to no end. That chair alone is an eldritch object of horror, something that only Cthulhu could love.
So! I made some replacements.
No judgment if you like the originals, but I thought I'd share in case other folks would like less bonkers options.
For the chair, I've defaulted in 4ESF's Dining Chair 2 (with polycount greatly reduced by me). I thought this kept the whimsy of an ocean-themed room, but made it cute enough to be used in other contexts.
Same with the desk (I couldn't look at that ugly unicorn horn/shell thingie anymore). This one is from Simcredible's Beachy office set. I did try to add back in some drawers, but I ended up preferring the cleaner/more streamlined desk.
Next...that bed.
I swapped in the 4t2 Anti-Goblin bed mesh by PlatinumAspiration and shrunk the seashell to be a decoration on the head and the foot of the bedframe. I think it looks cute and on-theme without being so bananas.
And the end table: I dislike the goofy wiggles, so I shaved them down and rebuilt the cabinet to be more of a straightforward shape. Less exciting, but more realistic.
My eventual goal is to default/simplify the two undersea dressers as well, but they're more complicated since they animate.
More defaults to come!

Let me know if you have any issues, and I hope you enjoy :)
Never, in the history of ever, have I used these...tech fences? Why the tear-drops? Why stained glass? Why so tall? Why these color combinations?? It's an aesthetic I'm baffled by.
I made a default mesh edit for myself, but I realized some other folks might enjoy this fix too! Details & link below the cut.
I shortened the fences to a sensible handrail height, I cleared away the teardrops, and I added a floor edge hider so you can have clean-looking balconies.
If you put them on the ground the floor edge hider will sink and not be visible beyond a small strip.
This is a mesh-only fix so it'll still use the same textures as the original fence (black, steel, and white). I think this mesh edit makes the fence 1000% more usable for a variety of building styles now that it's not so...zany.

Edit: if you'd like a non-default version of these fences (that still references the in-game textures) you can find them here. Thanks to @kayleigh-83 for the suggestion!
The lovely @catherinetcjd requested my Aparment Life gearhead chairs as add-ons rather than defaults, so here they are! Unique GUIDs so you can have these and the originals in the game (they take their textures from the in-game files).

(If the preview pics in the catalog look blue/funky at first, try refreshing the thumbnail a few times and the preview image should resolve. I've noticed this happens sometimes with add-ons)
I've been doing a Downloads cleanup, and as I pick through tens of thousands of files, I keep noticing meshes I wanna tweak. So here's one I poked at, Trapping's HoodieShirtRolledSleeves, for CU and TM-EM. The sleeves and a few other areas had dark spots and weird normals. I smooved. All meshes have fat morphs.
TEXTURES NOT INCLUDED!! You can get Trapping's textures here.

(I tried to schedule this to post tomorrow, but it posted now, so here it is, I guess. Tumblr is annoying.)
