TS2 Program - Duplicate File Finder (Working)

So here’s A WORKING Duplicate File Finder that doesn’t require payments or anything, Its easy AND IT WORKS. It's a MUST-have program! It can really save your game!

Tutorial:

1) Install the program, find it and open it.

2) Click the "Add Path" button.

3) Then Find your Downloads Folder (or any folder you want to check if it has double files)

Following this path: This PC>Documents>EA Games>The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection>Downloads

Select it and Click the OK Button.

4) Select the "START SEARCH" Button.

5) Wait Until the program finds the double files. (It won't take long)

6) When the "Report" window pops, click the OK button.

For better viewing, maximize the program.

7) You need to drag the window that shows the double files, so you can see their full names and where they are.

8) Now you will see the Double Files. 

Select each of one and click the "Delete Files" Button.

9) A window will pop asking you if you are sure to delete the selecting files.

Check the "Send to Recycle Bin" (to be safe) and Click the Yes Button.

10) Done. That's it!

TS2 Program/Tutorial - HoodChecker Neighborhood Corruption Detector

Here is a quite helpful (and must have) program made by Mootilda

that cleans the neighborhoods from corrupted files!

Here is a simple tutorial on how to run the program and fix the hoods.

1: Open the program "HoodChecker.exe" and press Strart

2: Select the Neighbourhood you want to fix and click Next

3: You can First "check" the hood if IT IS after all corrupted but if you already checked it, click the button "Remove"

4: The Program will gladly ask you (remind you) if you have a backup. Make one backup (copy) of your neighborhood and place it somewhere else. After that Press the Button Yes

5: Do NOT check the "Versioned backup" and Press the Finish Button

6: The program will do it's thing and all done. Click the Exit button and play your fixed game!

TS2 Program/Tutorial - SimPe With Object WorkShop & DDS Tools Tutorial

I wanted to create an invisible recolour for a furniture and i saw on the tutorial that was watching, that the guy was using "Object WorkShop" on the SimPe.. I realise that my SimPe doesn't have that, So i looked up and i found a version that has it. Here it is and here is how to enable "Build DXT" option (Needed for recolouring)

You will also need to isntal the CEP. Instal this too.

Here is the tutorial on how to enable the "Build DXT" option

1) Download From the DDS Utilities and instal them.

2) Open the SimPe, go to Extra and then Preferences

3) Go to SimPe Settings, Down there is a Browse Button. Press it.

4) Find the nvdxt.exe and Click Open. Then Click Ok and done!

After that you may want to be sure that your SimPe recognizes that you have installed the CEO.

1) Instal the CEO.

2) Open SimPe, go to Extra and then Preferences..

3) Go to FileTable Hit the Reload Button, After this You are Done.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE FOR THE SIMS 2 PLAYERS.

Recently my game (TS2) would lower the fps, crash or even not open.

After a long time i discovered that my windows 10 had an update and broke my game. Of course i disable ALL the updates for the future (that is a thing that you don’t have to follow..) and i found a solution.

The 4GB Patch Repair.I am gonna mention i have 10GB cc on my download folder and the update made my game reset by the 4GB patch repair (THAT I HAD in the past) and made it broke.

First to check if you had the 4GB patch in the past but you believe it has stopped working, go to your Sims 2 Folder in Documents:

Documents>The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection>Logs>DESKTOP-HIP7R3K-config-log.

Open this config note and if you see the Memory to be below 4.000 then you have to install the 4GB.

Download The 4GB Patch Repair Program HERE and follow the VERY simple tutorial ill write.

Extract the file.

Open it.

Go find your main Sims 2.exe file ( i have the Ultimate Collection so here is my Path)  “C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSBin\Sims2EP9.exe" 

Select it and click ok.

Done.

Open your game, wait it to lunch completely and close it.

After this, go again to your Sims 2 Folder in Documents:

Documents>The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection>Logs>DESKTOP-HIP7R3K-config-log. 

Open this config note and if you see the Memory to be changed into 4.000 then you are ready.

How can you make you game much faster! And other tips. (TS2)

I Have added links and tutorials!

1. Rename any CC in your game so they dont have spaces and symbols like %&[] in them by Using the Bulk Rename Utility. 

Here is my list with unwanted symbols.

2. Organize your downloads by putting them in categories 

(for example eyes,models,furnitures...)

3. Make sure you don’t have double, same CC files. To check and delete them, Download the Duplicate File Finder. (A MUST HAVE PROGRAM)

4. For us that have the Ultimate Collection, WHO needs origin?? PLAY TS2 WITHOUT IT! Follow this tutorial.

5. Make sure your game recognizes your graphics card.

If you have Intel PC make sure to follow this tutorial to set the best graphics for you.

6. Download the 4GB patch to avoid crashes.

7. Be extremely careful when you download cc (from where it is, how old they are, are they legit?) do you REALLY need them?

8. DON’T mess with the NPC! you can make your own look-alike sims.. just don’t mess with them.. 

9. The default sims 2 camera is awful.. How about you can see everything in full details?? Download a camera mod! I use the Gun Mods Camera Mod but there are many more.

10. Make sure to have as much backup you can by everything!

Personally i have 2 USB that each have copies of EVERYTHING.

(CC Downloads, The entire game, programs that i use if i re-install the game..)

11. Don’t play your game for hours. Reload after like 2-3 hours.

12. The Sims 2 has many mod/fixes by programers that play the game. For example the famous simNopke‘s Sim Shadow and SkyFix Mod. Search them.

13. Want a Sims 2 open world feel?? You can! Follow this tutorial and install this camera mod.

14. When you download a lot with CC, there is a chance, the lot to have unecessary hacks or CC recolours. That happens because the game doesn't separate the recolours you used on the specific CC you placed on your lot with the rest of the recolours the user had in their downloads and it included all of them anyway. What you can do about it, is to click on the objects, click on the recolour tool and delete the unwanted recolours that came with it. (YOU CAN'T IMAGINE how many unwanted cc i had to remove because of this) someone need to fix that. Maybe the 30% of your CC are unwanted recolours that came with a custom lot...

15. Its 2021 (right now). Luckily there are simmers that are amazing moders too and they making fix patches and programs for the sims 2. One of the best program/fix patch is Lazy duchess's RPC program. Search about it and install it. Its amazing and it fixes many thinking for the game.

16. Hood checker program by Mootilda is a life saving program that checks and fixes corrupted neighborhoods. IT'S A MUST HAVE program.
