Reworked TV Seating Mod

MogHughson's Watch TV from all chairs is pretty much required by everyone at this point, but I always disliked how, if there's no seating available, my sims seemed to always route to stand in front of the tv and block people. There's also Squinge's Sit on floor to watch TV, but it conflicted with MogHughson's mod, and it also makes people sit on the floor on community lots, which didn't make much sense to me. This edit fixes all of that.

With this mod, sims will enjoy the increased viewing angles of Mog's mod, but if there are no more chairs available, they will instead sit on the floor. Only if they somehow can't sit down at all, will they stand. This portion of the mod is the result of me basically combining Mog's and Squinge's mods together. I have added a check that tells the game that if the current lot is a community lot, they shouldn't sit on the floor. No more sitting on the dirty, sticky floor of sports bars 🤢 Note: During testing, a grand total of 1 time, 1 sim sat on the floor of a community lot. I was not able to reproduce it and have no idea why they did it. If this happens to you, please let me know! Thank you very much to MogHughson and Squinge, whose work this mod is based on.

Pforestsims & DeeDee Hairline Overlay - Download

Firstly I want to say thank you to both @pforestsims for giving me the tutorial that eventually helped me understand how to edit this overlay and @deedee-sims for helping me solve some issues I had. Thanks again, both of you 💕

Fun little fact, I used my current gameplay sims to pose and Luna is one of Chloe's daughters... the drama she went through while pregnant with her girls was so funny. Well maybe not for her but it was for me🤣

So the original, posted here (would recommend you read the information there first) only had 14 options to choose from. And while that is a good amount I still needed 9 more options before I could recolour the overlays to match the colour swatch I use for my hairs. Painful task later I managed to add the extra overlayers.

I made 9, 14 or 23 hairlines options so you can pick which colours you want. Please note you can ONLY PICK ONE!

I've also included the no shine default on the bald scalp by Pforestsims, in case you prefer the texture to show clearly and a slightly stronger colouring.

PNG files of the textures are included so you can recolour or edit them to your liking.

“Just Be Friends” Social

As requested, a non-autonomous social available to teens-up towards sims if at least one of them has crush and/or love flags for the other but they aren’t going steady/married/engaged. They’ll perform the generic ask animations (also seen when sims ask each other if they want to play catch, for example) and then all crush/love flags between them get cleared.

UPDATE 12/13/18: Updated so it should no longer throw an error when selecting customers on a business lot.

UPDATE 12/18/18: Updated to fix an issue it sometimes caused with sims’ autonomy.

UPDATE 9/26/29: Now won’t be mistakenly identified as a fight social for purposes of “Influence…/Fight”.

UPDATE 4/21/20: Now with accompanying fall-out-of-crush/love FX, although this can be turned off by changing the value in the new BCON.

UPDATE 10/17/21: Now fulfills fall out of love fear for any sim who loses love from this social. Also ensures sims who lose love get the fall out of love memory even if FX are disabled.

UPDATE 10/17/21 B: Whoops, there is no fall out of love memory in the vanilla game, I was accidentally trying to readd the fall in love memory… but there is a custom fall out of love memory, so now if you have that installed this mod will add it as appropriate.

Help - Sims 2 Witch English Spells

Hello!

i found 2 mods that translate the "latin" default game's Witch spells to english to understand them better

the one is this from pandora (18+ site) (Easy spell description mod changes the cryptic spell names and descriptions in the game to something A LOT easier to understand)

The thing i tried both and they both don't completly work..?

spells looks like this, only freeze time has translated..

Can anyone help me? or does anyone haves solution or fix?

4t2 Barista Default

@mdpthatsme’s 4t2 barista uniforms used to default replacement the NPC barista uniform! I only have one barista in Hazel Hollow so I wasn’t able to screenshot both the AF and AM uniform, but both of them use the green apron white shirt recolor.

Functional Book Sculptures

You see those two sculptures on the end table by Daya in the preview pic (the one on top and the one kinda hidden underneath)? The ones that came with… I’m not actually sure, AL maybe? Both of them are now functional bookcases! Comes in four versions based on if you want sims to be able to autonomously read from them (ala mrclopes’s mod) and if you have the mod below.

UPDATE 7/18/19: Fixed a problem with the functionalbooksculptures-studyallskills version that was preventing some of the skilling actions from showing up on one of the book sculptures.

Also, for clarity: For this mod, you want one and only one of the packages whose name starts with “functionalbooksculptures”. ‘autonomous’ means sims can autonomously read from the book sculptures ala mrclopes’s mod, studyallskills means all 7 skilling actions are unlocked (although they won’t all work if you don’t also get a version of studyallskillsfrombooks).

UPDATE 7/30/19: Fixed a problem that could cause errors when sims try to write in diary with the book sculptures. This meant editing the OBJD, so I recategorized both sculptures as knowledge. Will add a custom star to the sculptures unless you stick it in the program files (I believe your M&G folder/Overrides should work). If you don’t care about the custom star feel free to keep it in your regular downloads folder, just remember not to delete it ingame.

ETA: The update above also creates a conflict with other mods that recategorize the sculptures, specifically Phaenoh’s. Deleting the two book sculpture OBJDs from Phaenoh’s mod or having my mod load after is necessary to make sure that write in diary error doesn’t happen.

Study All Skills From Books

Now all 7 skills can be studied from all bookcases, not just the education career reward - although you’ll still need the education career reward to get that fast skilling rate. There’s also a version that is compatible with mrclopes’s read books autonomously if it loads after.

UPDATE 7/18/19: Now there are versions that make studying cleaning build science instead of nature, ala gummilutt’s mod. Removed “readbooksautonomously-studyallskillsfrombooks” because it was actually an older version of “studyallskillsfrombooks-autonomous” which had snuck in, confusing both me and likely some of you. If you’d downloaded it, I recommend replacing it with “studyallskillsfrombooks-autonomous”.

Also, for clarity: For this mod, you want one and only one of the packages whose name starts with “studyallskillsfrombooks”. ‘autonomous’ means sims can autonomously read from the bookcases and normal books ala mrclopes’s mod, although to get the full effect of mrclopes’s mod you still need to download it (and make sure it loads first), ‘scienceenthusiasmfromcleaning’ means studying cleaning will build science enthusiasm.

UPDATE 5/7/20: Disabled the “watch out!” interaction on the secret door for sims who didn’t have the proper anims for it: babies, toddlers, cats, and dogs.

Buyable Canvases and Prints

I wanted the cafe to have some art made by local artists, but having to buy the lot, visit it, place the painting/picture, leave, and resell it every time I want to place a new piece of artwork seemed inconvenient, so I made buyable versions of the easel canvas and uni camera prints! The easel canvas also has a subset for the frame with all the freetime recolors (and a null recolor). I gave them some initial recolors as a test of concept, but the idea is you can replace the images with your sims’ paintings and snapshots and make your own recolors for your game (FWIW, if you open a lot with a custom painting/snapshot on it you can extract the TXTR and use it to make a recolor). Available in Decorations/Wall for $500 (painting) and $100 (print).

Lower Wages For Employees

It has always bugged me how much employees of sim-owned businesses can earn compared to traditional careers. The cashier of the local grocery store might get the same money as their spouse who’s working as an intern, and the pet store manager enjoys salary as big as some bigger company’s president. Well, not on my watch. 

I seriously wondered if there’s even point to upload this since all I did was extracting one BCON file and changed couple of numbers in it, but I couldn’t find “a mod” for this shared already so maybe there’s someone out there who could use something like this as well? This is what I did:

Base wage is lowered from 150§ to 80§

Every skill point is worth +10§

Every bronze talent badge is worth +20§ (instead of 50§)

Every silver talent badge is worth +40§ (instead of 100§)

Every gold talent badge is worth +60§ (instead of 150§)

Managers get additional 200§ (instead of 700§)

If you disagree with the numbers the BCON file is very self-explaining, so it’s really easy to change them to something that makes more sense to you!

Download (SFS) (alternate) - as far as I know this shouldn’t conflict with anything, but if you run into trouble please run HCDU and let me know if you’ll find something. I’ve tested this in my own game and it worked like supposed.

This is a functional ice cream stand, found in the Party Section. Sims can buy 12 different ice cream bowls and eat from them. Stand mesh is from Aroundthesims, while ice cream is from Insimnia. Low poly.

Burger and Fries Functional Stand for The Sims 2

The stand is a conversion from Sims 4, while food is from Insimnia. Everything is pretty much low poly (maximum 3k). The stand has 6 food options, 3 burgers and 3 fries and different prices for them (from 6 to 15 simoleon). Stand is located in Party section of Buy Mode, price 1000 simoleon. You can put it both in residential or community lot. You need all the files in the archive for it to work.

Bubble Tea Vending Machine for The Sims 2

This is cloned (not replacement) from the Functional Cotton Candy Machine but edited with TS4 Bubble Tea Machine. You will find it in Buy Mode, Party section.

The drink animation is a little bit strange because sims will not put their arm up when drinking... I know it's weird but I think it's better in this way because with the usual animation I had to remove the straw (or sims put it in the mouth too xD) which is a significant feature for the bubble tea and I didn't want to.

This machine will work from teen to elder.
