I find it really ironic that the "evil" versions of the Celestial family have better communication skills than their good counter parts tbh-
This might be the first time where I actually don't like the angst like it's hitting a little close to home here...
Im so glad the Celestial family is noticing how bad Cosmo's mental state has been it's been like 2 or 3 years of self hatred and inner depression for Cosmo and honestly if Cosmo was willing to drown himself to stop hearing voices back durning the whole Kerian mark thing I'm very concerned about what he might do when that bottle reaches full capacity and he can't keep the lid closed anymore
Also with the Titan and Cosmo interaction at the end it's giving
"Aw look Heather's going to whine whine whine all night-"
Anyways is it just me or does any else both love and hate the Titan arc? More so I hate/love how well written the arc is i genuinely can't believe im watching this masterpiece for free!
Tbh what makes the arc so interesting is how real they make Cosmo feel and how distant Titan feels
Titan feels fictional or like a mist or fog that feels out of this world
To better explain it, Titan constantly feels like he's acting or wearing a mask
It feels like he's put up this persona that faded into his actual true self, he's no longer someone with real emotions or expressions but something hard or plastic like a doll
Titan's entertaining, funny, chaotic and that gives him a charm but at the same time he's hollow
To an extent he actually does remind of old Cosmo a little though not in the way I just described
He's powerful and fearful one moment but as soon as he's tested, as soon as someone pushes his buttons or doesn't give him what he wants or provide him with the satisfaction he expects to gain from his view of entertainment
He throws a fit, he throws a tantrum like a child and to me it shows that he's somewhat thinks the world revolves around him
He expects everyone to bend to his will and give him whatever he wants solely because he's powerful
To quote a line that i think sums up what im saying atleast somewhat
"The world is orange, everybody owns a piece of the orange, nobody owns the whole orange and those who think they do are fools"
Or atleast this my interpretation of the line but I digress
Titan goes around acting like he can do whatever he whats and I think this is so because he believes he owns the entire world or atleast the world owes him
he's the embodiment of Cosmo's old greed, selfishness and self perseverance
He's the Cosmo that never grew up or matured
I honestly find Titan calling Cosmo 'pathetic' really funny because of this
I mean putting all of this in perspective, Titan is the one whose truly pathetic
On the other hand, Cosmo doesn't wear a mask or hide behind a persona
Yeah Cosmo bottles up his feelings but it's better than Titan who doesn't really have those feelings
Yeah Cosmo is probably going through a identity crisis but if you think about it, Titan feels like he's disconnected from his identity
Cosmo has strength in all the aspects Titan doesn't
Cosmo doesn't have the superiority complex Titan obviously does and that makes him someone who feels more grounded in reality
Titan and Cosmo are truly opposites in a way that i personally haven't seen yet with other 'evil' counterparts and it all boils down to-
Titan is too high up in the sky and has his head stuck in a cloud while Cosmo is too far down in the Earth and he's stuck in the dirt
Ones living a fantasy and the other is in reality
Titan and Cosmo's dynamic and balance is one of the things that make this arc so intriguing
Honestly I think this is what the VAs were implying when they said that Cosmo was going to learn to be strong in other ways but what do I know?
