“Sweet jealousy”
1: Tsuburaba’s story:
He was tired of waiting and waiting and waiting even more. He wanted two things in life: to become the best hero, and to be Asui Tsuyu’s boyfriend.
And the last one may sound ‘dumb’ compared to the first one, but... That is because you don’t know much about the current Frog girl.
She had changed, and for good.
It isn’t like she wasn’t always beautiful and amazing, but she had gotten so much better over the course of their first two years at the U.A.
After a battle she would never forget, with the one villain called “Toga”, Asui had decided that cutting her hair would be more practical. And it wasn’t just cutting it a little. Now, her beautiful hair was down to her shoulders.
At first, everyone was surprised and some of her friends even cried a little since they wanted long hair like hers, and she had cut it over one incident.
But everyone soon realized that she looked as cute or even cuter than usual that way. Her eyes somehow looked bigger, and her unique features could be appreciated better now.
And her hair wasn’t her only improvement... She had gotten a lot better at battling, and at school too. Her friend Uraraka Ochaco had taught her the battling techniques that she had learned at the Gunhead agency. And she had started training with someone everyday before school started. He didn’t know who that was.
Her grades, her battling skills, her looks. Everything had gotten ten times better. She was simply amazing in the eyes of the young brown-haired Tsuburaba Kosei.
And in the eyes of many other teenagers, too. Which, he didn’t really like. And yes, it was great seeing her all happy and getting attention and appreciation. But... Some of them had the same romantic intentions with her than he had. And that... It hurt. It really hurt knowing that he had little to no chances of being with her.
He still hadn’t even talked with her. They were in their third year at the U.A, having accomplished great things and being better than before. Yet he couldn’t get enough confidence like to simply exchange a few casual words with her.
But luckily for him, he wasn’t all obsessed over her like some were. He just liked her a little too much... But not enough like to cry over her or stuff.
A little pain in the chest every single time he saw her being ‘too’ friendly with someone else, being sad thinking about her and feeling empty sometimes... but that was all. No tears.
He didn’t even get to see her that much, since they were in different classes. But whenever they all had to compete against each other or spend some time in the same room together... That made him very uncomfortable. Or well, it made him uncomfortable seeing others getting close to her and doing what he would probably never be able to do with her. Why couldn’t they have a competition on who could hold hands with their crush for the longest time instead?
But nevermind that. She was probably other people’s crush too. She was one of the most powerful females... And one of the cutest, or at least for him CUTEST girl there. There was little to no chance for him to be the chosen one to hold hands with her anyway.
He was just standing there,
on the corridor staring at his best girl... Seeing her holding hands with someone else.
And he wished it was at least Kirishima Ejiro from her class, who was kind of her best friend. Or Shoji Mezo, who was the gentleman who at least would treat her right and make her happier than most could.
But that one guy was a nono... He did NOT want to see her being with him. Yes, he knew that even just mentally, deciding who was good for her and who wasn’t was wrong. She could decide who to spend her time with and who makes her happy as long as she isn’t blindly accepting someone abusive into her life.
And that boy... Even if in the past he was fully a jerk, He had changed. He was calmer now, less horrible. And yes, Tsuyu was never seen getting intimidated by him. But, he still was dangerous. He had both a very explosive quirk and personality.
Bakugou Katsuki. He hoped it was just a dare or something... Or that she would realize she is making a mistake and has to stay away from him.
This wasn’t just jealousy... He was truly scared that he would hurt her in any way.
Why couldn’t she like HIM back, so that they could be happy together? He would always protect her and be affectionate towards her.
But he was just being selfish. And he was conscious of it. It just... Really hurt.
He took a deep breath. He had gotten lost in his disgusting thoughts, while they were chatting. And now, they were walking slowly towards the exit. It wasn’t fun knowing that they also lived in the same place. And that they would walk there together.
