Yesterday wasn’t just regular every Tuesday night magic ritual, because it was also mom’s birthday. It wasn’t planned but some regular clients brought foods and birthday cake. So, before the ritual began, dad gave some speech, mom made a wish, people congratulated them and took some pics. The main food ( 3rd pic ) is “ Tumpeng “ ( turmeric rice in horn shape with meats, eggs and vegetables around it ). Tumpeng is one of Indonesian traditional foods, it’s a must food in every celebration here. Tumpeng can be tall and graded, like wedding cake. The top of Tumpeng usually being cut first to be given to the most important person in the event. In this case, dad cut the top of Tumpeng to be given as offering for Ratu Kidul ( because the magic ritual will be held in Ratu Kidul’s sacred room ) - pic 6th. Pic 7th and 8th : mom and dad threw white and red roses petals to Ratu Kidul’s grave. Clients then enjoyed the foods before the usual every Tuesday night magic ritual began.
