I love my little guys <3
Random work commute thought:
Nightmare adopting Parch and Tune because he happened to run into them after they escaped the lab. And he couldn’t bring himself leave two young women who have no life experience outside the lab (aside from maybe assassination missions) alone and exposed to the world.
He miiight also get the rest of the clones, depending on how they all got out.
i feel like Tune and Emmy are the living embodiments of "I'm here for a good time, not for a long time"
I mean. Considering those clones were made to age twice as fast, literally yes.
Even if they grew up normally and had a normal life span, they probably would still do dumb shit. But because they've got roughly half as much time to enjoy the world as the average person, they're going to experience and enjoy as much as they can.
Wait
Completely unrelated but what if Xenon is trying to figure out how to extend their lives. I don't know if he'd be able to, but if he's a doctor then I could imagine him deciding he should at least try. For his family.
I’m once again spinning alts of characters because of a Minecraft mod(pack)
This time my little* clones are getting some attention! Bad news it’s on a dead world where they have to try and bring it back to life.
Loose concept is that humanity screwed up Earthc(or whatever you’d call Minecraft’s overworld) via mining and generally not taking care of the environment. Now all that survives is hostile mobs… and these clones.
They were basically made as clones of scientists/people with valuable skills for the mission, and given a bunch of videos/files to catch them up on the situation. Unsure if they were raised by their genetic donors or creators or if they were just shoved in a spaceship and the computer managed their growth somehow so they'd be adults by the time they got there.
So now there’s a gaggle of guys on a dead world trying to figure out alchemy and magic that will fix the world, one little bit at a time.
They definitely don’t have words for anyone when they fix enough of the world for civilization to come back. Definitely not a “WHY THE FUCK DID YOU SEND BABY CLONES TO FIX YOUR BULLSHIT” in sight no sir! (Lies)
Role-wise, Parchment manages the group in general, and also is spearheading the alchemy bullshit. Definitely hasn’t started fires (don’t think you can ingame but she definitely can). She doesn’t like why they’re here, but if she can make the world work for her friends then it doesn’t matter. The rest of humanity coming back is a “bonus”
Emmy and Tune mostly manage the outside expeditions and security, and their expeditions are especially important in the first few weeks when the alchemy is still being experimented with and figured out.
Clip mostly manages farming once they have farmable soil. He doesn’t want to deal with the fighting or the alchemy, it scares him. So nice safe plants- WHY DOES THAT ONE SCREAM SO LOUD KILL IT KILL IT-(Mandrakes suck :') )
Virus is sort of just compiling what they know and organizing it so everyone can find what they need. Makes sure all of Parchment’s notes are legible, the maps make sense (please draw them accurately Emmy), and the plants Clip is crossbreeding are documented. They also just generally help around the base, and occasionally poke their head outside. If someone needs them to do something they'll gladly help, but they're sort of a jack-of-all-trades.
very random but imagine if Emmy, Clip, Parch, and Tune were all created in the h!DS clone AU by a totally different lab, and neither they nor the lab that made the Plusion kids (+ Patch and Vida) had any idea that the other existed
...well Emmy and Tune will have many things to say about the lab that made the Plusion kids. Mostly about how irresponsible/stupid they were to get the genetic samples mixed up.
Assuming the single-donor clones are older, Clip is very concerned for these children. Especially when like half of them are off committing murder. He's been there, and he doesn't want that to be happening to anyone else please.
Also he's probably freaking out that there's MORE LABS THAT DO THIS KIND OF SHIT!! WE ARE IN DANGER GUYS!!! Emmy will give him a hug and tell him it's okay.
Parchment is trying her best to acquire as many details as she can. Definitely not so she can add this new lab group to her list of people for "hunt these fuckers down yesterday."
Also Emmy just seeing the three kids with Delusion and going "absolutely the FUCK NOT!" and telling them alllll about how he's a bastard (whether they believe her or not she stands by her words)
there is a 25% chance she just. yoinks them. her children now.
Good idea? absolutely not. Her friends are losing their shit. but she isn't leaving them with Delusion of all people. That'd be crazy! They'd get so many bad ideas!!!
There's no way that ends badly for anyone (silly)
FMR Parchment & Tune
uniform? Why would they need uniforms?? They’re not in the military anymore lol (every new customer is very confused as to who’s working here and who isn’t)
I’ll do the others later but here are the girls for now
They don’t remember much about what happened to them in Aphotia, outside of their interactions with each other, but they do have a vague memory of two other women being there. They’re not about to stage a rescue for people they don’t remember from a place that they’d prefer not to remember and certainly never want to go back to, though.
Anyway please enjoy The Girls
Okay I remember you saying a while ago you had ideas for Parch and Tune in FMR, but I’m rereading one of my favorite fantasy books and now have the mental image of them both just trying to settle down somewhere and open a coffee shop.
Where? Why coffee? Why did they stop doing whatever they were doing before? Does coffee even exist in FMR? No clue. They’re just here. And Tune is being her mischievous self as always around the cafe, while Parchment handles most of the managerial shenanigans (like. Bills/ordering and shit)
(The book is Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree. Contains lesbians. Very fluffy. Five stars)
ok I don’t remember what my original idea was but I do have one now that I think would work great for pre-coffee shop Tune & Parch (which is a fantastic idea on its own you’re brilliant)
I think I explained that Gouge and Ink were super soldiers for Aphotia prior to arriving in Phrikeh and Luminance, respectively. Also that they’re sisters. It’d be very easy to have Tune and Parchment end up there, too, though.
Presently, in-universe, the only "clones" they can create are magic illusions with no will of their own, so Tune and Parch would be (mostly) normal humans, but they may still be related to Ink and Gouge. Either way there's a good chance they were all together when they got Grabbed.
Tune and Parchment are most likely going to have amnesia like Gouge and Ink, but having stuck together after escaping they'll at least remember each other's names. And for plot's sake, I say they do also remember enough of what happened to them to know that the absolute last thing they want to be doing is using their training to hurt people. Plus, they don't want their 'mentors' to find them again, so laying low is the best idea.
Perhaps they were wandering around a while, trying to figure out what they actually wanted to do. Perhaps they found out they were really good at making coffee* and baking pastries.
Perhaps they found themselves in Stateras, or maybe even Derecho or Corneum, and decided to open a little coffee* shop.
*might not actually be coffee. i want to do research on how/where coffee grows and decide if that biome exists close enough for a coffee shop to be viable or if they'd need to sell something else. might be tea. might be something kind of like coffee but Not.
Tune's probably really good with ventum magic, with sound being Her Whole Thing, but I'm not totally sure about Parchment.
