Spotify Wrapped is happening soon and it's something I feel mixed on because I love the sharing of music it spurs, but the trade off is data mining and corporate advertising.
So instead let's use November for a little Tunes-Giving (pronounced in my home country as Choons-Givin'). Choons are the best songs so give me 5 songs that have really given you joy this year.
I've been really getting into doom metal this year and King Woman is my fav.
I love IDLES, and when I saw them last month they opened with this. It's two songs in one, the first builds tension, the second make you want to put homophobes in coffins.
This song makes me want to dance like an over-caffinated little jester.
Perfect song for 2022, 2023, 2025... Folk Punk is love.
I love the Ramones-esque vocals, and the energy fills me with joy.
