Dusky Thrush, Turdus eunomus. In stark contrast to last winter, when they were scarcely seen around Karuizawa, this winter seems to have brought numerous thrushes migrating from Siberia and elsewhere. Even on this bitterly cold day, with temperatures barely rising above -3°C and the cold wind howling, their dignified bearing remains undiminished.
