This gluten-free roasted turkey with cranberry sauce is a classic Thanksgiving dish that everyone can enjoy. The cranberry sauce adds a sweet and tangy twist to the tender, flavorful turkey. It's the perfect centerpiece for your gluten-free Thanksgiving feast.
Ingredients: 1 whole turkey 12-15 pounds. 2 tablespoons olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste. 1 onion, chopped. 3 cloves garlic, minced. 1 cup fresh cranberries. 1/2 cup orange juice. 1/2 cup honey. 2 teaspoons dried rosemary. 1 teaspoon dried thyme. 1/2 cup gluten-free chicken broth.
Instructions: Prepare the oven by heating it up to 325F 165C. Clean the turkey with water and dry it with paper towels. Add salt and pepper to the turkey and rub it with olive oil. Put the garlic and onion that have been chopped inside the turkey. Put cranberries, orange juice, honey, rosemary, thyme, and chicken broth in a saucepan. Keep cooking on medium-low heat until the sauce gets thicker and the cranberries pop. Put some of the cranberry sauce on top of the turkey and save the rest for serving. Place the turkey in an oven that has already been heated and cover it with aluminum foil. Roast for three to four hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165F 74C. Every 30 minutes, baste the turkey with the pan juices and cranberry sauce. Take off the foil a half hour before the turkey is done cooking to brown the skin. Let the turkey rest for 20 to 30 minutes after it's done cooking before you carve it. Serve the carved turkey with the cranberry sauce that you saved.
