Now it’s time to bake some yeast rolls as my thanksgiving contribution. And to try not to snack too much while I’m at it.

Ugh that #damnhill at the end! I wanted to hit 5 miles in my 40 minute #steadystaterun but came up short thanks to a long steep climb that came right at the end of what should have been mile 5. It’s the same hill that knocks everyone down in our neighborhood #turkeytrot every November. I am pretty sure my #gradeadjustedpace pace was well below what is shown here. A little disappointed to miss the goal but I’m definitely improving. Today’s SS segment was intentionally only at about 50% effort, so there was defimitely room to go faster. I will get there. And it was the first real run I have done in the @hokaoneone #carbonx. Did the annual Thanksgiving 5k with the father in law. I forgot how much different the 5k is than the 50k! Felt great to breath in the cold air and move the legs a bit faster today.

The race helped me inch a little more towards that missing motivation. I’ve loved the last two runs I’ve done. I just need to keep at it. March will be a BQ push, so I’ll need to stay on my training over the next three months. If you’re reading this, I’d love some words of inspiration, motivation, or even just a “get off your bum, dude!”!
