More from England
Two more profiles from England - Lucy Turmel is world ranked #93 and is a 9/16 seed in the Individuals and probably #1 in the England Girls’ team, Adam Corcoran is one of three English boys, all are seeded.
Hi everyone, here is a sketchbook dump!
Turmel and Mike are asking for help!
(Under read more for length) Continued from this post

Back to politicking...
Hi,
I recently have bombarded you with reviews of an entire season of Torchwood. I'm still only on season 1 and there are 3 more to go before I am caught up to the current episodes in "Miracle Day", but I'm making good pace.
That aside... I have hit you with an entire season's worth of posts on that and now it's time to get my back to my natural inclination on this blog:
- Non-grammatical, non-professional, verbose, ranty, unedited... *breather*... Political goodness.
WTF!? No one saw this coming? Nycole Turmel, NDP interim leader, is chosen because:
a) Her riding is on the Quebec-Ontario border practically (like why Ottawa was chosen as capital).
b) She is perfectly bilingual.
c) As head of the Public Service union she worked in Ottawa and has much respect managing people...
ON THE OTHER HAND:
Being a member of the Bloc Quebecois for 5 years "just to help a friend" that once... Hmmm?... REALLY?!...
Oh and that provincial, Quebec Solidaire... You joined them too and paid them because of their great "social policy"?
I'll be the first to admit that the Bloc had great social policy, hardworking MPs, well-researched and were a much better socially-minded party than the NDP any day...
ON THE OTHER HAND:
They're called "Quebec Solidaire"... The "Bloc Quebecois" further had a name that didn't sound so nationally oriented or inclusive like other federal parties...
So you worked in Ottawa on behalf of all federal public servants while on the other hand hoping to separate the country on the line you crossed daily?....
Basically, you just wanted to be an "international" traveling hob knob who "goes into Canada all the time" on business... ? I mean really... What is this?
The 4 Bloc members are laughing saying how 'if you support the Bloc, you support our mandate and goals'. The other parties are laughing as the NDP more clearly than ever represents how it is too confused to reconcile rural, urban, north, south, union, business, english and french. The party is divided so much that they need to just declare them all each "independent" for a while to do some personal discovery and thinking out in the woods alone for a while...
ON THE OTHER HAND:
They're trying to seem like a legitimate party in the wake of the loss of their only asset, the ever-respectable Jack Layton. He truly will be, like the Trudeau legacy for Liberals, the bar set for the party in the future.
I'm on my third hand here, so I should probably wrap up.
The Bloc-NDP-Solidaire is such a mess. They haven't even begun to reconcile the fact that their Northern Ontario MPs vote righter than John Manley used to and the Western MPs feel as uncomfortable with their french caucus as you might if you walked into a room of all your ex-girlfriends.
Pure hilarity. I'm going to just salivate over it for a while because I thought we'd have to wait a while for gaffes of this caliber. I imagine they'll keep coming from NDP MPs campaigning for Quebec Solidaire in the provincial election all the way to them forming their own party finally that again "represents Quebec interests". Back to square one is inevitable when you have people who can't intellectually grasp the complexity and subtlety of Quebec...
Don't worry... Separatism is alive and well with the NDP (Nicely Disguised Parizeaus).
Alrighty.
So Jack Layton, as many Canadians (and political-followers) would know, is fighting cancer, and has recently stepped down being the leader of NDP for his treatments.
Since then, a new temporary leader was chosen for the party, Nycole Turmel.
I don't have a problem with this. As long as NDP is still NDP.
The problem is ...
Oh no! She was part of Bloc Quebecois. She must be evilllllllllll~
Seriously? Steve ... stfu and back off. If I recall, the minister under your command previously showed interest in Bloc Quebecois. Unless I heard incorrectly.
Or .. wait. Wasn't there something about a Reform Party ... that wanted to create a New Canada? Were you not a part of it, and in turn, getting close to the founder of said party?
What's so different between you and her? Is it because she's French? Or a woman?
Heaven forbid, a french woman in the government!
