These cheesy and delicious turmeric tuna hummus melts are a delightful combination of tuna, hummus, and cheddar cheese with a hint of turmeric. A simple and quick recipe that makes a filling lunch or snack!
Ingredients: 1 can tuna, drained. 1/2 cup hummus. 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric. 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese. 4 slices whole-grain bread. 2 tablespoons butter, softened. Salt and pepper to taste. Fresh parsley for garnish.
Instructions: Hummus, ground turmeric, and drained tuna should all be combined in a bowl. Blend thoroughly. Evenly spread the tuna-hummus mixture between the two bread slices. Top the tuna mixture with shredded cheddar cheese. To make sandwiches, place the remaining bread slices on top. On the outside of each sandwich, spread butter. Cook the sandwiches in a skillet over medium heat for about 34 minutes on each side, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown. To taste, add salt and pepper for seasoning. Before serving, garnish with fresh parsley.
