BELTANE BLESSINGS, BEAUTIFUL SOULS 💜
Long before bank holidays and BBQs, Beltane was being celebrated by the ancient Celts as a fire festival marking the halfway point between spring and summer. Traditionally held on the night of April 30th into May 1st, it was all about fertility, growth, passion, and stepping fully into the light half of the year.
Huge bonfires were lit to honour the sun, people would dance around the Maypole, and it was believed the veil between worlds was thin — making it a powerful time for connection, intention, and a little bit of magic (the wholesome kind… mostly 😉).
But you don’t need a hilltop fire or a flower crown the size of a hula hoop to celebrate. Beltane can be beautifully simple:
🌿 Get outside — even a walk counts. Notice what’s blooming, what feels alive, what’s waking up.
🔥 Light a candle and set an intention for what you want to grow in your life (confidence, love, strength… or just the will to meal prep on a Sunday).
💃 Put some music on and move your body — Beltane energy is joyful, playful, and very much not about sitting still.
🍓 Eat something fresh and seasonal — think berries, honey, or anything that feels a bit indulgent but nourishing.
If you fancy creating a little Beltane altar, keep it easy and meaningful:
Flowers (real or fake — no judgement here 🌸)
A candle (for fire and passion)
Crystals like rose quartz or citrine (for love and abundance)
Something symbolic of growth — seeds, greenery, even a list of your goals
A small dish of honey or fruit as an offering
Beltane isn’t about doing it “perfectly.” It’s about celebrating life, energy, and everything that’s starting to bloom — including you.
So if you’ve been feeling a bit stuck, heavy, or meh… this is your reminder: you’re allowed to start fresh, plant new intentions, and step into something brighter.
And if all you do is light a candle and whisper “let’s sort our life out a bit” — honestly, that counts too ✨
