[Open scene on the break room of an intergalactic ship. Faja and Kell are siting on a bench to the side of the room as their coworkers move around, conversing and doing normal (?) break room things] [Jeff and bob look at Kell and Faja.]

Jeff: Bob, Human Kell is flapping around again.

Bob: I see this, Jeff, and it seems it is infectious.

Jeff: Is this one of those human diseases?

Bob: I do not know. We shall report this to medical.

Jeff: Yes, we shall. Strange they went to space without first creating nanobot immune systems.

Bob: most strange indeed.

[Across the room, Faja and Kell have been holding their own conversation in ASL, which Kell taught Faja after their first meeting]

Faja: Kell, have I told you about that time I accidentally burst the glass one of our coworkers was holding?

Kell: What? No?

Faja: I only spoke, but apparently the frequency of my speech was the resonating frequency of the glass. It shattered in their hand!

Kell: that's almost as good as the time I flashed the lights to get the attention of our Sipdid coworker, forgetting light flashing creates a fight response in hir species.
