reading the memnoch recap in TVA (I haven’t read memnoch) and its just going further to support the fact the plot is not adaptable 😭 I am sorry but as a non-christian who was raised very distanced from christianity I’m struggling to understand why a bunch of these moments are supposed to be so major. I understand a lot of it, but in my head it translates like “okay. good for Lestat/Armand I guess!”

With Armand possibly not even being a Christian anymore in the show idk how his plot in Memnoch would even work? No idea about Lestat maybe I’ll fry my brain with Memnoch later but I question about Armand.

Though, that brings me to the part I’m at right now. I can’t believe the reason Armand goes into the sun is because he’d been drawing Jesus’s face right the entire time????????? That’s one thing where I was like Oh!! That’s kinda crazy!!!!!!!

I do wonder how that’ll translate onto the show. There’s a reason we (Muslims) don’t draw holy figures, lol.

it’s been a long week with a fever and i’m just now able to string words together, but i’m thinking so much about the period of time between the palazzo burning and the first time marius sees armand again. thinking about him laying alone in his sarcophagus and passing over the place he’d prepared for amadeo and not knowing when he’d see his fledgling again, if ever. they’d had so little time together, which is a tragedy in itself. how did he mourn amadeo? did he feel that again with the abduction by rhoshamandes? eventually i will have more to say abt this that’s more coherent but they have absolutely rotted my brain <33
