Oh for FUCKS SAKE
Audiobook WoB
Questioner: Was the Thaylen accent changed between The Way of Kings and Words of Radiance? Because the Wind's Pleasure crew and Tvlakv all sound a bit different.
Brandon Sanderson: Yeah. That's not intentional. That is just more, I leave the accents completely up to the audiobook readers. I don't tell them an accent. I do try to send them pronunciation guides, but those don't always arrive in time, which is why you can see some discrepancies. But, yeah, I let them pick the accents.
fic idea. Kaladin's old slavemaster the one he rebelled against with 20 armed slaves and caught him branded him 'shash' called him 'intriguing' them sold him, is Mraize. And this linked as to why Tvlakv seems to know that Kaladin isn't actually a deserter and that he was wronged by Amaram though idk how much he knows of the specifics.
Edit: Also with Mraize opinions of Restares who he knows was in on Kaladin's enslavement to begin with...
There's also all that information that Mraize gave to Shallan in OB relating to her brother Heleran being in with the Skybreakers and assainating Amaram and that the 'long since eliminated' line with reference to Surgebinders. Which I'm 90% sure refers to Tien. Was that lighteyes who cut down Tien also in with the Skybreakers? Did they suspect but he died after being thrown onto the front lines as cannon fodder before they could target him? Did someone deduce he was a proto-Radiant after he died? I have questions.
In Stormlight Archives 5 (KoWT, presumably), Tvlakv dies on page, and it either triggers the sequence that leads to, or somehow DIRECTLY causes Kaladin to swear the fifth ideal as a Windrunner. This is the hill I'll die on.
