Rewatching Teen wolf season 3b after starting to learn japanese and watching shit ton of anime means I cringe everytime Nogitsune says something in japanese because... man that's a terrible accent

you commented about this the other day about what Jeff said about the dream scene and i was wondering what that was? i mean, i can imagine... but i always appreciate more ammo for loathing jd ^_^

In an interview, years ago, Jeff said he was inspired for the dream sequence by a story called “An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge”. In the story, a man is being hanged by being dropped off a bridge. As he’s falling to his death, he imagines the rope snapping, getting free, and escaping to run back home where he can be safe with his beloved wife again. Once he sees her, though, he’s hit by the sensation of a sharp impact, realizes it was all a fantasy and he never got free at all, and we return to reality to see that he has been hanged. What he felt was his neck snapping.

So Jeff was inspired by a story about a man escaping to the fantasy of his beloved wife during a life-threatening trauma, and then wrote the scene of Derek escaping to a fantasy of... Stiles.

(But Sterek isn’t canon, sure.)

Honestly 3B of Teen Wolf was peak Teen Wolf, and tbh, sometimes i feel like it was close to peak television. Like even outside of Nogitsune/Void!Stiles, it was incredible. Funny, scary, sad, full of love, honest, beautiful, kind, and just brilliant. They played up the pieces of history that mattered, they played up the bits of previous seasons that mattered, they tied so many beautiful storylines in together, like holy fuck man 3B was beyond.

OK I’ll say it: 

How the fuck are Teen Wolf 3b and whatever this monstrosity is even the same show, though?

Like i have never seen a TV show go so far downhill, plot wise, in my entire life. And i’ve seen a lot of really rough downhill spirals. This is it’s own league of yikes.
