Telling your siblings you love them is a very normal thing, assuming this "disguised clonecest" you're thinking of is about the flashback/memory portion of I Have No Mother, Only A Brother prior to Fluke's death.

Just how exactly is telling your sibling, your youngest brother out of the batch, a simple "love ya" clonecest?

I write all of my Clone OCs with specific sibling dynamics and themes in mind; clonecest has never and will never be one of them.

Ngl I'm amazing someone decided to drag this topic back up AGAIN after all I've talked about but ✨okay✨. I'm tired and mad so:

While I do understand "letting people enjoy things", and do (ex: while I dislike themes in twilight, you do you.) The clonecest shit isn't something like that. I do avoid it, I don't seek it out, but when I am forced to interact with it, or find out someone I previously trusted ships it?? That's when I get mad.

Like I've said before, clonecest is racist, and a romanticizing of REAL LIFE TRAUMA. If you're ACTUALLY exploring that, and addressing it, and tagging it as trauma and warning of incest, then fine. But people who ship clonecest don't do that.

Also excUSE me for thinking that shipping LITERAL TWINCEST IS BAD AND GROSS. Would y'all be okay with someone shipping child Luke with Obi-wan? With Leia even though they KNOW they're twins? I mean... Following your own arguments, they don't know eachother well enough to consider themselves ~siblings~ so it SHOULD be fine.... Right?

Clonecest is at it's core, racist, as well as homophobic, and a stain in the Clone Wars fandom, much like Ahsoka/Anakin. So imma get mad and make sure people are aware of the above.

Also ngl, I REALLY hate the whole "just block and move on so this is peaceful for everyone" mentality. Over headcanons? Sure! Characterizations of characters? Sure! Don't harass people cause they think Fox is a tea man over a coffee guy!!

Hey, I know youre pretty much against clonecest now, and thats amazing!! I was readjng your fox fic (Commander Fox is perfectly fine) and stopped reading when you off handedly mentioned that Fox had been uh. Sleeping with Bacara? I think? Anyway is that part still in the story or did you remove it? Because it might still give new readers the idea you support clonecest.

Also, I’m so glad you’re not supporting that anymore. Your fic was one of my favourites and I think I’ll continue reading now, but since clonecest makes me super super uncomfortable i wanted to ask if there’s still bits of that in the fic.

So yeah. I went back and removed all references to clonecest in the fic.

Uh have you thought of maybe not listing Boost AND Sinker as Boost/Sinker and Waxer AND Boil as Waxer/Boil on your Clones as posts? its kind of shippy looking

all you have to do is read the posts and you can clearly tell its not shippy. That is not what any of my posts are about when I do the Clones as

Waxer/Boil and Boost/Sinker are combined entities to me on those lists because they are practically the same in my brain. I have mild organizational and reading issues so the / between them makes it easier for ME, the writer to read when I am typing it out. Reading comprehension should tell you “The Clones As Goodwill Items” and going down that list that uh... its not a ship post 

As I have said before, my blog isnt a ship centric discussion board. I will talk about hypothetical of clones x readers and things like that. But thats about it. 

The Only Ships I am willing to discuss are JarJar X Happiness, Grievous X my OC Jawa Lady, and the razorcrest.

Hey there. So I think you need to take a step back and re-examine your own content as well as the volume of clone content you create as a white creator. I see you judging others for what they're creating frequently as well as commenting on the way others characterize clones while making points about the fetishization of clones but you never seem to stop to consider that your artworks are just as guilty of what you're so passionately against. Given you are a white person your constant creation of content that features suggestive or inherently 'thirst-post' inducing reactions is literally fetishization. When you self-insert for a clone ship you are turning a clone into an object for you to personally play with made worse by the fact you frequently twist them to have them fit with your own desires which is literally fetishization. You need to take a moment to examine how you respond to someone making a point about your own problematic behaviors as well as you *always* have a justification or excuse that lets you off the hook for things you lambast others for.

OKAY. Finally free to answer this anon! And oh boy isn't this a doozie?? Alright, under a read-more for y'all.

1. I'm not judging people for drawing clones frequently, that's not the issue, that'd be hypocritical. What I AM judging is the harmful content they create. If someone drew clones almost EXCLUSIVELY as slaves (as in, say, zygerrian collars) or often in master/slave dynamics, I would ALSO be furious and call that shit out. And I'm not "calling out characterizations", saying Fives and Echo should be sexual partners isn't "characterization" it's incest.

2. This one gets two categories! A.) I checked my feed, the max amount of posts done THIS YEAR ALONE that could be "thirsty", top at maaayyyybe six. And even then, the thirstiest is a classic male pin-up pose from the waist up with pants still on, not some sort of gross 18+ fetish art? And B.) There's a difference between fetishizing and appreciating people? As a friend put it, POC want to feel wanted and sexy too! It's just that you need to cautious and willing to research as well as take critique for what you make! And that's what I try and do despite the fact I rarely make thirst posts.

3. I just.... The logic for your next point is so weird. "Turning a clone into an object for you to personally play with". ??? What? All people take characters and input their own characterizations (Cody being oldest or middle kid depending on artist/writer for ex.) onto characters they draw or write for? I think what you might mean is that "I make them solely dependant upon my character for any character development" which is.... Also not true? I know about that risk, and take care that any troopers I ship have their own independent lives and personalities aside from whatever character I'm using?

And as for your last point: calling out harmful behaviors isn't problematic. If and when people have pointed issues out, while I may be defensive at first (as most people are) I still take time to listen, understand, and take the critique.

What I'm "lambasting" is the literal romanticizing of real world harm. The people who do this expect to not be criticized for this choice. These people are wrong in that expectation.

And lastly, before I sign off, here's a great definition for fetishization:

Appreciation is looking at someone different than you and going "those features are really beautiful, I'd love to draw that", not the above.

I really hope that even if you never reference clone ships in your fics again (remembering the offhand mention of Fox/Bacara) you know that really, there's a huge difference between irl incest and various (mostly) genetically identical people getting off together and falling in love. There's a difference between fetishizing people and respectfully working to create a clone society where all kinds of relationships are possible, and I really want you to know that you're not bad for liking that.
