sooooo at the ripe old age of 31 I've had my first genuine allergic reaction to something.

I didn't want to post all of my hives on Twitter but y'all can see them... It's kinda bad 😭 went to urgent care and have meds on board now so hopefully it improves soon 🙏 I got covid January 8th from my non booster'd partner which then gave me a sinus infection that lingered for over a week so I got antibiotics which finally cleared it but also... Gave me hives after a week that started yesterday and increased significantly over the day and a half it took me to go to urgent care. It's been a rough month y'all 😭

Then I woke up to DISASTER and just tried to ignore it all day until I could get off work 😭 these are from urgent care and just now 😭😭😭

Y'all i just had this awful AWFUL allergic reaction. The only thing that i did any different was i used Tresemme shampoo in the shower because i was like "well fuck it i might enjoy it" LET ME TELL YOU HOW MUCH I REGRET THAT DESICION So first thing that happens is i wake up. Monster of a period cramp, but instead of it feeling better when i go to like, shit it out, the pain won't let up for 25 minutes straight so i'm just on the bowl in total agony. I'm wailing. And when THAT finally ends? I start itching really badly. Like, carrion-beetles-are-crawling-on-me badly. So i spend an hour between bathroom breaks clawing my skin off nearly, i figure i'm just badly overstimmed by the pain as what sometimes happens. NO. 5 minutes later i look at the fucking skin on my wrists and breasts where i used the shampoo and it's RIDDLED with hives. Everything is sore. I'm weakened and a heating pad on my abdomen is only slightly helping. I wanna go back to bed so bad but if i do that, you guessed it, the whole cycle begins again. But the good news is i got sleep, even if just a little bit, and the hives are gone and the pain is gone and now i'm just trying my best to feel better. Cause that was hell. That was literal hell. Jesus. Fuck that. Never doing that again.

Today I remembered the time back in undergrad, when i wasn’t even fully in my twenties’, and my roommate/good friend told me she would probably married by the end of the following school year (when we graduated). 

And then, I promptly panicked for her and broke out into hives. 

To this day, I have no clue if I ate something I was allergic to, or the sheer amount of panic caused me to break into itchy hives. 

....now if only i could use that in a fanfic

i cannot fucking stand andrew's doctor. he prescribed him tylenol 2 knowing there's a history of abuse with that medication in his family, and he's allergic to something in it so he broke out in fucking hives. how incompetent is this doctor i swear
